What do they call it, a career game? One of the best a player will see in his entire career? Yeah, Eli happened to get his in time for the biggest game of the season, and arguably, the biggest in several years (stopping 19-0, and letting the '72 Dickfins keep running their mouths). But it's an outlier in a career of being fairly average, littered with high interception counts, poor actions under pressure, et cetera.

What is Peyton's idea of a career game? Probably like nine TD passes in a game.

What's Brady's idea of a career game? The annihilation of the Titans in a single half during a snowstorm from a couple years ago might be.

Does Eli scramble? No. So you can't give him the mark that Rodgers and Vick get. And yes, Vick over Eli for the elite category.

And IMO, elite means no more than the top five, and maybe less. Five years ago, I'd probably have marked Peyton and Tom alone as the elite, with Brees still being fairly obscure, Vick being in prison or lackluster in Atlanta, and Rodgers still trying to get out of a very long shadow.

And a no to Big Ben, Rivers, and Schaub.

The Steelers are an outstanding organization, Big Ben is above average, but he doesn't elevate the team by himself, he just fits in.
Rivers is too unreliable, and frankly, too much of a bitch when things go wrong. The Chargers implode under pressure, and he's emblematic of it.
Texans are trying, so is Schaub, but outside of having Andre Johnson, he doesn't seem all that remarkable, and the Texans aren't getting anywhere.

Friggin' StarBaron just blew up two of my defense worlds, and then held those newly-building worlds against my entire fleets. I ended up watching 2-3 times as many ships of mine die trying to retake them as was used to take those same planets in the first place, and my fleets were cohesive, which is more effective than continual streams.

I hate games that can't do their AI well, so they just pad the AI's stats all over the place and pretend every is cool.

Other than that brief flicker of skill, he's sure as hell not elite.

Brady, Manning, probably Rodgers and Brees, maybe Vick if he can duplicate last year's performance... those are the elites. Not Eli.

More like Manning in a class by himself, then the next tier, followed by tier 3 and then the tier with everyone else. :awe:
