Backstory: this building is over 100 feet high, with an L-shaped footprint, some 300 feet along either leg. The older part is brick, the newer part is concrete block. There are some steel beams hidden inside a few walls. It's four to five stories, depending on where you are, and the ceilings are somewhere around 15 feet, perhaps a bit more.

We have chemicals. LOTS of chemicals. Enough to fill swimming pools.

And this silly girl comes through the building, leading a tour group of potential students, and assures them all that, in the event of *something* happening, this building is specially designed to IMPLODE, protecting everyone outside of the building.

Now, for the truth of it -

1) Our primary storage rooms have been examined by the Fire Department. We have been informed that if any of those rooms catch on fire, the FD is leaving the building, and the area will be evacuated. Damage estimate is that the building would suffer catastrophic damage, and several buildings in the immediate vicinity would be severely damaged. They stated that our building evacuation rendezvous location is far too close to the building, despite being across the street and on the far side of the building from the storage rooms.

2) The building is indeed a negative pressure building, which is to say, the air pressure is kept deliberately lower in this building than the surrounding environment. The difference is significant enough that you can hear low howls when gaps are left open, and an open doorway forms a steady strong breeze. In fact, if a doorway is left open, insects are sucked into it just by flying nearby.
