and you think this is going to help your grades how? 60% more pretax pay is probably going to translate to 30% more after tax pay.

This. No offense MotF, but you have to get the grades up any way you can and the short-term gain of a few extra bucks won't match the long-term gain of not having an increased GPA. That GPA might only matter for your first job, but it still matters. If you need money, just try to schedule more hours on the weekends or take next summer off from school and work full time.

excellent point.

So, MotF, If you could add only one night, Friday would be the one. Assuming, there are no classes, common time exams, or projects ever due on a Saturday.

Yep, Friday night would be the best because you could then maybe save a few hours on Saturday and/or Sunday and study and/or have a life.

My employers are likely to be trying to force me onto Monday Wednesday Friday. I cannot do Monday with my current school schedule, and the school likes to put serious classes on MWF, so I might end up having problems for spring semester.

I'd rather get my old hours Tuesday Thursday Saturday back, and I was thinking to offer a compromise of Wednesday Friday in addition to TRSa.

It's going to be a mess, I better draw up my finances again, in case push comes to shove and I tell them to go fuck themselves. Which is surprisingly likely.

Which is a shame, because the job isn't terrible, the young boss is a bit of a pain, the old boss is irritating, but the coworkers are pretty good, which is a major plus. Oh well.

$3k in my main savings account, $3.5k in my stocks, $1.5k in a checking account.

I think I have some $2500-3000 per semester cost.

This would be bad; I'd either need to sell the stock account, or get a second student loan.

Apparently, one of the other stores in that strip mall is hiring. So depending on how this conversation goes, assuming I can get in touch with one of managers, I guess I'll be looking elsewhere. Hopefully they want TR nights, among other things.

Unfortunately, the managers tend to be a bit short-sighted. By the holiday season, they'll want three people on every night shift, which would mean me back on TRSa. I also suspect they'd like to have me around, given as I'm the only male besides themselves, and I'm by far the tallest, which means I fill a niche role very nicely.
