The speakers on the clock thing look terrible, sorry dude.

I agree. They were left over from an old model. Thought I'd see how they look tucked away like that. I think some speakers could work, but not big boxy speakers like that.

I concluded I have no pressing need for a new SSD, and I will use the current setup, plus the 500GB 7200.11, and see just how badly my games suffer for going onto a mechanical drive.

If you have ample capacity for backups, just RAID0 a couple of fast drives.

Was being driven in one. It could be the driver is not very familiar with his car yet.

Meh, there's nothing to get familiar with. It's a dead ride, high clearance, high roof, not a ton of power, and frankly, it's probably your average Toyota driver.

Okay, I'm a touch biased against Toyota and its drivers.

I would then need to buy a couple of fast drives, and at that point, I'd just buy myself another larger SSD.

You won't get nearly the capacity for the same price.

I've been considering RAID0 for the data drives in my next system and then using an external drive (eSata or USB, whichever is on sale) to do weekly backups. I already have a spare 750 GB drive for my server, which I might just use as one of the drives.

I thought it was underpowered. And it uses more gas than my gas guzzler.

I think it needs a better tranny and audio system. The sound on it was horrendous.
