Thanks, I know I probably should have wait for the 3xxx series to come out but I can't wait. I've had this setup through college and a little before then.

I got a former mining card off a member here for free, a 390x, fan makes a noise but free is free.

Sorry. My bad. It's been awhile since we've talked. Free is the best. I didn't have a personal computer for my undergrad. I got into computers during graduate school.

I remember planning the whole thing out. I bought the case first. That was price constant. I always like to leave cpu/mobo purchase for last. I want to be able to fire it up and test the parts so I have time to send them back for replacement. If you wait too long you have to go the RMA process. Usually, this is not that as easy as sending it back to Amazon or taking it back to Fry's or Microcenter.

I'm going to keep scouring the internet for used parts (atleast the mobo and cpu cooler) and if the CPU+RAM comes in/gets shipped today or tomorrow, I'm gonna go ahead and buy the rest new.

All in, I'll only have like $370 into it. Which is a going to be a massive upgrade.

Working on my brakes today. Been having a grinding on the right front. Took the caliper off today and the pad is missing from the base. Metal to metal. Well, just got back from having the rotors turned. Waiting on some anti-chatter spray to set and then I'm going to put it all back together.

I'm not sure what happened to the pad. It's obviously gone. Metal to metal I'd say!

I would have just gotten new rotors

I just ordered new ones. The comments from the shop and then the comments on the rotors I bought previously made me suspect the qual was not the greatest. Once the shop guy said to keep an eye on the bad rotor I kept fighting with my desire to use what I had.
