What do you think of Vancouver versus Toronto (if you remember Toronto)?

Love Vancouver. Don't remember Toronto, I was 2 when we left. But there's not much of a comparison. Vancouver wins hands down any way you look at it. Voted #1 city in the world to live in many times over. BEAUTIFUL city with an amazing atmosphere.

There's problems with Vancouver. It's insanely expensive, and, at least to me, the city and the country are politically nuts.

See, I'm more or less looking for someplace to move.

Leaving aside the whole four years and halfway to a degree, the dismal GPA from a terrible state school, the $50-70k debt at graduation... I want to get the hell out of MA.

I'll give you the first, it's expensive yes! How is it politically nuts? Too left wing for ya?

i live in the GVRD and i agree with MOTF. It is not only too left wing but there are too many idiots that dont understand how the real world works, too many hippies.

Or... well, I live in a small suburb of Boston, population less than 30k, 30 miles from the city. The median age is 40.

If that didn't communicate it clearly enough, I, a naturally anti-social person with a serious dislike of people, am starving for contact with people my age. College doesn't help, because a) I'm a commuter, on campus, leave campus, b) so are half the students there, and c) it's a shitty school, most of the students there are brain dead, and those who aren't are bored to death like me.
