If I could go back in time to HS I'd get so much pussy![]()
I would too. If I could go back with my knowledge now, I'd be dangerous.

Not really mechanical. It is a manual lift but we had a storm that blew the cover open and back and it snapped the aluminum support beam like a twig.
Yikes. Do you need the cover just to keep it clean or is it required to operate? Never actually used a hot tub.
I submitted a question to the maker of the lift (their website sucks and I am not sure the question went through) and the dealer we went through. If I can confirm the manufacturer part number, I think I can just order the new support/lift beam rather than buy another kit for $150.
How much is the part by itself? Careful sometimes when ordering separate parts it can seem cheaper but you might get stung by hidden charges, crazy shipping and the like. Not at all unusual to find it's cheaper just to buy a whole new item.
When I was in high school (both junior and senior years), I noticed a really cute (most said very striking and pretty) staring at me in class. She was 2 years younger than I.
Pretty soon, rumors started to spread that she liked me. I didn't believe it -- well, OK, I was pretty sure it was true but I couldn't make myself believe it.
So one day, some friends were talking to me about prom (I didn't want to go) but I mentioned if I did decide to go, I'd probably ask her. Well, I think it got back to her because a few days later, she started talking to me about my prom plans. I told her I really didn't know what I was going to do and she said "Well you know, you have to ask someone soon because she'll need time to pick out a dress, etc."
To this day, nearly 23 years later, I still hate myself for not giving it a shot. Remember kiddies, you'll forgive yourself for opportunities you took advantage of that didn't work out, but you will never, ever forgive yourself for missed opportunities.
Really? Wouldn't have expected this from you. Though I think you've manage to succeed better in life than I have so far.

I guess most of us have stories like this.
I had this really cute girl who was my friend, she'd go with me everywhere. She'd go and get quarters for me so I wouldn't have to get away from the arcade, bought me lunch, etc.
I was too busy swooning over another girl that ignored me to notice any of it.
Worst was one time I was at her house, she did all sorts of things like sit on my legs and put her face way too close to mine. She finally told me her parents were away for the weekend, and dared me to spend the night there. I thought about it a little bit, then said my parents would probably get very worried...D:
tl;dr I WAS A FUCKING RETARD IN HS.

Yup, I was like that too and didn't even realize it. It sucks when your present self can't communicate with your past self.
5 Points for driving a 6 speed z4
-1 Point for installing curtains wrong...
