but now I need to find a digital to analog audio converter, prefer local to amazon so I can grab it before football tomorrow night
nope, I have 2 older recievers, one has none and the other has 2 but after looking online at the manual last night says they are outputs and not input
for my setup it's not worth the $$ to buy a new receiver
no, the panny tv does have optical out, but the receiver has optical but it is out as well
list the receivers... I highly doubt there is receiver with digital out but not digital in.
it's called a RECEIVER for a reason.
Receiver is a term coined from years ago integrating an amp, preamp, and tuner in one. The tuner receives broadcasts typically AM and FM. Some were FM only. (like The Fisher tube receivers with the stereo beam tuning assist fluorescent tube!) Mmmmm tubes!
Receiver is also a well built man that runs fast across a field and catches brown balls tossed by a fairly scrawny man that everyone in a line wants to pile on top of!![]()
you ain'y old school unless you go to crystal radio.
Or you could make Ben Franklin proud and listen to country music with a Leyden Jar!

:awe:
Real crystal radios (using an actual galena crystal - not cheating with a germanium diode from a radio shop!) are fun to get working.
This was horrible when first learning to drive manual. On a hill, car behind you, rev the engine so hard so as not to roll back, peel out of there, lol.
