Must feel strange to have the killer system rig you have attached to what feels like a 56k modem :D

It's ok really. Most things on the net that need bandwidth are far overrated anyway. I have several thousand TB of SAN though. :)

I'm on a decked out macbook pro right now. My 2048 core watercooled rack is still onshore. :(

Oh the ping isn't it, I've had pings >2000 and it still feels faster!

What do you use it for? If I remember you like to do numerical modelling and other cool stuff. Or do you just store movies and the like on it. Or both?

It seems Calculus I or whatever you call the first level full calculus course at university often has a high failure rate. The material isn't hard but you get a lot of students coming out of some high schools who never had any preparation for it.

True, and you also get a ton of lib arts kids who suck at math, and are just being told they need to take one semester of it. I don't have the failure rate data for that though, all I have is circuits, and the statement by the prof that it is the highest failure rate in the EE dept.

It's something I love about taking lib arts courses. The kids in there whining about how hard it is, especially if its got any math in it, even a chart/graph.

Ah yes, I remember the days of sitting in Econ and having the professor devote the entire lecture to "y=mx+b" to the confused looks of liberal arts majors everywhere.

On days like that, I feel like putting leashes on the other students, giving them all pats on the head, and taking them to the dog park.

I remember in another Econ class (Econ 321 or 340), there was this guy who usually sat near me and he was always struggling and frustrated about how "hard" it was. One day, someone asked him what his major was.....

Education.

Yeah, he ended up dropping that class.
