Still trying to decide if I should get an Asus Zenbook or just save the money.

Smart thing to do would be to save it but I just broke 70k in savings so I'm doing ok there. But then I'm quitting my job and don't have another one yet. But then I'm going to school in Sept and it would be nice to have a laptop for then, and I won't be working then anyway.

What to do, what to do.

Don't you already have a laptop?

Why? Childish, stupid, or some other reason?

We have this 2 hour lab session every week. This guy comes in an hour late.. and says that he has all the code in his mail. WTF.. he never had the handout of what he is supposed to do in the first place. He fucking copied everything from group 1(Today is for group 2). He assumed that both groups will have the same project.

I told him to leave the lab and meet me after the lab. He did meet me.. and I told him you will get zero in this lab and the previous ones.

Teaching Assistant.

Having been a student for as long as you have you must have seen tons of shit from your other fellow students. Nothing students do surprises me. But yes I imagine being on the other side it's different.

Loan fees or tuition?

Uh, tuition and fees are bundled into one bill. Then, since the school likes to claim it has super low tuition, tuition is about $800, fees are about $5000. Not kidding.

I'm paying I think $3000, I need to do the numbers out again to confirm that. Then I have a loan for $3500.

Ah, then I'd probably get a laptop.

Yeah I'm looking at this:

Well to be 100% accurate I bought an SSD for my main computer and moved my old SSD over to the laptop. THEN I sold it for $100 more than I bought it.

When does school start? wouldn't you get a better price or better specs for the same price if you waited, say, two weeks before classes start to buy the laptop?

Unlikely. The margins on laptops are razor thin, like 10% or less.

Though I don't need to get it right away. I have a few friends here who would probably still give me my employee discount even after leaving. Would just need to come in and talk to them directly.
