ever consider a desk job? Starting at data entry?
Yes. But (1) I've sort of made a commitment to my bosses to stay through Sept here. I feel needed, and so far like most of the people I work with (a few are hard to get along with but that's normal). I did a year at NCIX before so I should be ok. And (2) I NEED to get over my problems. Getting a desk job would feel better but my problems would just pop up again somewhere else in life. Heck I'm not even facing the worst of my problems at NCIX but at least I'm putting myself out there each day. It may give me a stomach ulcer, heart attack, or shorten my life through stress in the long run, but it's good for me emotionally. Got to face your demons.
It's not like I'm stuttering through every conversation with customers. But I do sometimes feel not far off that. Depends on the customer, how busy it is, and what I'm selling. Selling a gaming rig to a kid and I'm relaxed as can be. Selling a printer or laptop to someone who seems a little rough or less friendly and I'm pretty nervous. Don't know if it comes across or not, I'm sure it does some times. Anyway I had someone send an email to the head office praising my customer service so I know I can't be doing too badly.
