Buddy of mine was out with his sister and sister's boyfriend at a bar. Two drunk guys started a fight with them.

1) One of the drunk guys "hits like a girl".
2) Sister got punched in the face. From her wording of the events, she has no recollection of that punch or anything immediately following.
3) Drunks got beat down.
4) Drunks went to jail.

Oh yeah, my friend in question? Army officer.

That's a name I haven't heard in a loooong while

gotta check that out

I had an electronics set that had components mounted inside a plastic block with contacts on the side wall and you build circuits just like lego. The name escapes me.

You want a decent reliable handtool? Yeah, hope you owned it for thirty years, otherwise, it's stamped out in China, probably is half lead, and it'll snap when you want to use it.

I remember some companies used to run off motherboards out of Taiwan. DFI used to do it, back when DFI was awesome. Then DFI moved everything into China, and headed towards Suckville, population: DFI.

Ridgid makes a pipe wrench, made in America, it weighs about a pound per inch. If it EVER breaks, send it back to Ridgid, they'll replace it. The end.

Even o-scopes and shit. How many people are still using those really old CRT Teks and Agilents? Yeah, thousands of them.

Now you have the colleges and workplaces buying all sorts of crap, not Teks and Agilents, cheap shit from China, and it breaks in a few years.

I can't say made in America really always means quality. Cars? LOL. Of course, most cars aren't really made in America anymore, Mexico is a favorite. Made in Japan cars are pretty awesome. Infinitis!

Well, at least, last I knew, all Infinitis are made in Japan, every single one of them. Last I checked on that was probably 03-04, but I know mine has a plate listing its construction as someplace in Japan, damned if I can read the name though.

And I remember after that tsunami seeing a Nissan carpark in Japan with a ton of new Infinitis tossed onto each other.
