Although I'm more interested in opening a small business. Still trying to find the idea for it though. But every story I hear from everyone on this forum or in real life further makes me think a large corporate environment sucks, customers are idiots, coworkers are... well, you get the idea.

Yes, but unfortunately, you have to deal with most of that even with your own business. Sure, you can tell customers to piss off but you risk word-of-mouth getting out and sinking you.
