Yeah, absolutely. My parents would never have to work again either, and their mortgages would be gone.

In all honesty I think I would still work. There is a huge difference in working because you have to and working just for something to do, at least for me. (Having been in that situation when I kept a second job for extra spending money they stress was WAY less then when I worked the same job because I had no alternative)

The ability to quite simply because you want to (and not caring that much about goals/promotions etc) helps too

Besides, you have to keep up appearances. You don't want everyone knowing you are that rich. Thats when people start asking for money

I'd probably set myself up a shop for working on electronics, machining, cars, that sort of thing. Just setting that up would reveal to everyone I have lots of money, and from there, if I turn out something useful, great, if not, oh well.

I hate my extended family. They can ask all they want. They deserve nothing and will get nothing.

It's clearly a poor long-term decision.

But I already have visions of my house and, more importantly, the workshop/garage. Yes, the workshop/garage would very likely be larger than the garage.

Lulz.

It'll also cure boredom at work, while serving a purpose - I'd like to have a CB radio for my car, but don't like the massive whip antenna. Thus, a smaller antenna.

I wish you the best of luck then.

I can say that i've read about fractal antenna. I also remember nothing

I'd probably work too, after a very long vacation. And I also agree with keeping your insane wealth hidden, or at least partially. I think it wouldn't be too hard to tell people you're some sort of freelancer when they ask about your job.

ideally this workshop/garage/house would be on a tropical island
Why are tropical islands always mentioned when talking about lottery? they're great for vacationing but I don't want to be sweaty all the fucking time and have sand coming out of my ears. Temperate zone for me please.

you're right it might get old, maybe quickly. Snow avoidance is a priority though.
