Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing

A membership to Costco is very helpful. If you doing formula I found Amazon had the best prices.

I have the rainforest version. It was just great! helped to put the baby on a speeling schedule

Oh yes I almost forgot. We practiced swaddling with our babies and found it helped a lot with getting them to sleep for hours at a time -

Miracle Blanket FTMFW! If your baby likes it, get 3-4 of them so you always have a clean one.

Also, BabyBjorn FTW! Get the "Air" model . Worth the extra dough -- it gets hot wearing the baby.

Don't use the "creamy" desetin. Stick to the original stuff.

Reason being, the creamy dosent stick too well on the skin and gets rubbed off by the diaper then you're back to square one. Diaper rash ointment is meant to adhere to the skin to keep moisture off.

It sucks to see your kid with severe diaper rash. At one point, our son had it so bad that he started bleeding from the sores and there's nothing we can do about it....

Must have.. Good breast pump.. It will make life easier for your wife.
With good breast pump, you can share the workload of feeding your baby.

Happy wife = Happy family

Get the double pump!!!

No, you can't suck the milk out yourself and spit into a cup..

Our freezer was always full of individual servings of milk. We simply thawed a bag and fed. It certainly gave my wife a break as well as the budget since formula is relatively expensive.

Do all babies like this swaddling? We tried to do it with a regular blanket as well as those swaddlers that have the velcro to close it up and our babies were not liking the restricted feeling apparently... maybe this will make a difference? Desperately need to keep them asleep.

My baby hates swaddling. He's a free soul.

of course youcan't say all babies do or don't.

sometimes my kids loved it. sometimes they didnt. My son for instance was a bad sleeper. only way we could keep him asleep was in either the swing or in his carseat.

there were plenty of nights he slept in his carseat with the car seat in his basinet.

keep trying diffrent things.

heh. my wife had a double medela pump (think we sold it to someone here can't remember) and we had bags full milk in the freezer.

it sucked when my daughter was put on special formula. damn thing cost us nearly $20 a day.

I suppose it depends. Some like it, some don't. Some like it sometimes. Some like arms in, some like arms out.

As for getting infants to fall asleep, have you tried a yoga (aka stability) ball? Gently bouncing on a yoga ball with the baby nestled in your arms, IME, works wonders. Yoga ball + miracle blanket == teh win.
