edit: other than anime music. Are there any asian bands that are non-pop non-anime?

for something different, try FIR. rock/jazzy. taiwanese group, female lead singer.

i like japanese garage bands of the 60's and 70's like The Out Cast, The Spiders, The Blue Jeans, The Terrys, The Playboy, The Voltage, etc. those are completely hysterical, insane and awesome at the same time.

I must really say nowadays Asian pop is like 10x worse than English pop. I simply can't stand them when the TV blasts the ear-scraping noise every 10 minutes.

First off, where would I upload music?
Secondly, I'd like to clarify how I listen to music, before I start opining: I know a lot of people like to listen to full albums, but I pick and choose certain songs only to listen to.

Some artist names of recent additions:

Yuki Kajiura
Aya Ueto
Penny Dai
Clazziquai
Shizukusa Yumi
Tenmo
Crystal Kay
Hitomi Shimatani
Home Made Kazoku
Lia

they are disbanding today (april 1st). they've been around in one form or another since 97/98, but their first big label release was with sony music in 2001 and their 3rd single secret base was the huge hit that brought them into the starlight.
outside of hello project, they are probably my favorite group. <3 i will miss them. :(

Maiko (bass) Takayo (guitar) Miyu (guitar) Mizuho (drums) Takayo (keyboard/guitar)

ZONE

Listening to what they are playing in the background, that is still extremely poppy.

Haven't listened to Korean Music in years but I used to like: Drunken Tiger, CB Mass, Untitle, Deux, Jinusean, DJ Doc, Seo Taiji & The Boys. Snacky Chan, Flow Sik, and GoldynChild are pretty good korean rappers but they rap in english. As for anime music I like the OST of Gundam Seed... Especially Namida & Hisou by Toshihiko Sato.

I dig Uttara Kuru, which is like . .. I dunno, Enya meets Enigma, meets Kyoto remixed by Paul van Dyk.

i know nothing about asian music nor can I understand what they are saying, but I downloaded a few videos based on the hotness of the girls. With that said, I have some from Amuro Namie (avi), BoA (wmv), Utada Hikaru (wmv) and Hyori (wmv). I'd upload them somewhere, but I have so place to put them.

(I might have mispelled or rearranged some, if not all, of the names above.)
