Not 'til they have decent drivers.

Corrected for you. 🙂

Actually I disagree...in my experience they usually don't experience the same problems nVidia does with their driver support....

Then again, I agree on the linux part...but not many people game on linux anyways.

Not too shabby but damn, look at the heatsink on that thing. I would rather still go for a 7800gt and this is coming from an ATI fan. 🙁

1) its not abailable yet
2) it beats the 7800 GTX just as often as the GTX beats it they are equal
3) the Gtx is cheaper
4) you can get the GTX now

how is ATI king?

op can't read....doesn't understand price/performance ratio

What sucks about it you need to get 2 right off the bat cause one doesnt work like nvidias cards. I like the 05 scores other than that still sticking to nvidia cause theres a rumor that nvidia is making a sli mobo that has 32 lines for the PCIE haha that will overthrown the 1800xt if you want to spend 550 bucks or more for only one card go right ahead oh yea u need 2 cards so that like 1100

And Pls remind me isnt nvidia always ahead of their competions unline someone i know 😛

I seem to recall the 7800GTX costing upwards of $500 when it launched too. I'd be more interested in how much they're going for a few months from now.

They're the king in that irrelevant race to have the fastest performing card at any cost. Let's see how the $200 cards perform.

ATI has pretty much lost this round...

Nvidia is cheaper, available, has more pipes (which SHOULD help in next gen games...), overclock ability (though ATI still might be good at it)...yeah...

ATI is not king, though i am extremely impressed with how well 16 pipes can do.

i hope the ati cards drop down in price i kinda want a x1800 xl lol or maybe a 7600 gt 🙂 if it ever were to be released

but what matters to consumers is that the "now" price. for ~$450 i could get a 7800gtx now and be within ~10% of the $600 ati card. doesn't make sense.

Just wait for price wars. The GTX should be under $400 by Christmas time. 😉

I'm not sure how they are king, the cards preform well but are about on par with the nvidia cards and will cost a whole lot more, so where does the king part come in?

ROFLMAO. Proclaiming a King from Paper is pretty laughable.

Show me where I can buy the X1800XT? Didn't think so.

I smell a fanboy.
