NO 10% off code has worked in the clearance section at the ATI site since at least August 5. I used the above code to get 10% off on July 29 but it only allowed 5% off on August 5.
 
Yes, early August they nerfed the 10% codes to only be 5% codes.

Also, I don't think any of these cards are shipping out with VIVO. There have been about 5 threads on this deal all with a considerable number of posts so feel free to go read around in those. I think the very first thread was titled something about "x800xt platinum".

Pretty much every other week there is a deal to get the X800 Pro Retail for $199 shipped. I got mine from ZZF 2 weeks ago. Unless you're in a rush, why would you pay $179 + sh for a refurb?
 
they're all refurbed because so many people tried to mod them and it didn't work.... thats my suspision. I modded mine, I love it!
 
Mine just arrived. PCIe ViVo. It was missing the cable to adapt from 4pin to the 6pin aux power. 🙁 ATI says they missed that in all the refurbs and are mailing them out soon.

Perhaps I'll have to 'borrow' one from Best Buy if it doesn't arrive before my mobo & cpu.

My buddy (Harriet Tubg!rl) had one extra sent to his house for free. ATI never contacted him so he sold it to someone here on anandtech for $280 or something like that. lol.

Got one of the X800 Pro AGP, one of the unlucky ones. Won't play BF 2 for more than 30 minutes before popping up an ati email to send failure information... (I had got burned on a refurb once before but I thought getting one from ATI directly would be better than a retailer, wrong).

Was playing BF 2 with a 9800 pro before, back to that and its not too bad and more importantly perfectly stable.

I didn't get one with mine.

These are out of stock now, but from my experience I recommend staying away from ATI's shop unless you're saving at least $25 over a retail boxed version. I ordered on the 5th, and received mine on the 9th (good). My version requires a pci-e power connector. All retail boxed vid cards that require this include an adapter. The one I received didn't include it (bad). I could only find 4 places online that even sell this cable (lowest price $11 shipped), including ATI's shop ($13 + ship). I called ATI on the 13th, and they said they knew of the problem and were in the process of mailing them out and mine should arrive shortly (lie). They didn't ask me for my info (bad). As of the 19th, I still haven't received it. I called again, and this time they took my info and put in an actual order for one (about time). It should be here by the end of the week.

ATI's customer service = BAD. You don't want that when you're buying a refurb.
 


ATI Customer Service is way worse than bad. And at the moment I can't think of a negative enough word to describe them. Anyone care to help me out?

I remember that thread, think I pmed inquiring about it. Hmmm.........
Btw, what is the extra connector on the agp card? It's right below the molex, yellow 4 pin but looks like a cd audio connector.

 
I just got ATI to send me a 12v power adapter for my pci-e

Im wondering though, will they extend my time to return since i couldnt install card until the cable comes?

BTW, ati service SUCKS
