if this hits $150... i'll have to buy it - then upgrade when i can afford the r520.

I'm with you...I've got my mind set on a X800XT (or faster) for my new build. After picking up a X800XT PE for $221 shipped...I'd be slightly let down with a X800 Pro UNLESS the price was REALLY cheap (<$170 shipped).

true but still a nice deal never the less. 🙂

are these sli ready?

I think what you mean is Crossfire. Which one is better the XL or Pro?

the XL i think. it has 16 pipes and faster memory speed even though its clock speed is lower

Thanks acutally the reason I am asking is I have the XL and if the pro is faster I might switch....in this case I guess I am ok.

Best Buy had the AGP XLs (with VIVO) a few weks back for ~$209 out the door. A superb deal. It was a good bit faster in Doom 3 over the X800 Pro I had been running. I think it is slightly more power hungry AND the card itself was substantially longer--think close to the size of the old Voodoo 5 cards or one of the Quantum3d SLI cards!! I had a hard time smoothly fitting it into my case. The cooler wasn't as fancy either. The XTPE is actually shorter than the slower (and newer) XL card. Go figure.

I went, in one month's time, from an X800 Pro VIVO to an X800 XL to the ATI X800 XT PE !!!

Is X800 Pro PCIe VIVO? or no VIVO?
Any software comes with this card?

The only thing I find, on the product page is that it comes with a Video Input/Output cable. Is this VIVO?

Now the next question... Does it have 1.6ns memory chips or 2.0ns memory chips?

I think I'll pick up the PCI-E version in ~2 weeks IF it's still available for $185 shipped (i.e., got to wait until the next credit card cycle since I blew all my dough this month for PC stuff😉

As far as I know, flashing a VIVO X800 Pro to an X800XT only works with the AGP version. So, did anyone order the AGP version?

bump.

Does anyone know if the AGP version is VIVO and can be flashed to an XT PE? My 9700 Pro just died and I'm looking for an upgrade. I noticed the PCI-E version says it comes with "9 Pin Cable for Video Input/Video Output" but AGP doesn't list that, so I'm guessing it doesn't have VIVO.
