Will it work with non built by ati cards?

Download the refferences drivers for "partner products", it will work.

I've been using this on my Saphire card and never had a problem. I don't see why a different brand would need different drivers.

Ok got it installed... i don't do any benchmarks like 3dmark or anything so i'm afraid i'm not much help to you die hard 3dmark freaks but i just play a lot of driving sims and some FPS games... on average it gave me a 3-6 more FPS... can't really tell if IQ improved since everything is just whizzing by :D... i'm happy.

Agh, it makes it worse for me. I seem to get weird textures on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. The road seems really weird when there are any shadows and the small hills have some other weird problems. This better be fixed by the time I get my Radeon 9700... unless I get an NV35 part, which depending on money I will

My score in 3dMark2003 increased by more than 1000 points, but I can't say it's all due to the new drivers. I also increased my RAM speed by about 6-7 Mhz.

The drivers also fixed some frame "jerking" that I had noticed before.

From what people are saying over at Rage3D, it seems like this drivers create more problems than they solve. GTA:VC is really screwed up, graphics corrumption in BF1942, and HL is running really crappy with these drivers

Yep. 3dmark2003 went up more than 300pts for me (5019).

Too bad everything else went down by 2-3 fps.

I'm going back to Cat 3.1. Never had a problem with it and it's still the fastest driver version for me thus far.

Do you think its possible that ATI did something to cheat? Or did they really get improvement in other places than 3DMark?

OK loaded these on my 9000PRO and 8500LE rigs and played some BF1942 and UT. These drivers work better in both of these games than any previous. No corruption or stutters in BF42 and no weird mouse and sound problems in UT. And both games look great with these Cat 3.4s(in my rigs anyway).

There's got to be some wierd software/ or configuration on some people's systems for so many problems to be reported.

I am having zero problems with XP SP1, 9700pro, 8rda+

Not to mention I like the new clone mode options.
