Haha, man these threads really go nuts. The thing doubled in size since I last posted.

Anyway, You want to deny the idea that if there is a creator of the universe, that the creator would by default be the owner of the universe and the one who determines the measure of all things in that universe. This is what your statements imply. Is this correct?

My statements imply that if such a being exists, that it is not Righteous just because it claims to be. What you are implying is simple slavery to something because it's more Powerful. Not that it is more Moral or Loving or some other noble quality.

Might makes Right is the full extent of your Moral System. I find that unacceptable.

And I'm sure you can give us a cited example of an atheist making such an argument.

If atheist would keep their mouth shut, or better yet not live in a muslim nation, we would not be reading about them facing death.

When in Rome do as the Romans do.

I agree that folks should be aware of where they live, but are you seriously suggesting that its the fault of the atheists, for simply being atheists, that murderistic Muslims want to kill them?

Is this what you're suggesting?

Could you imagine if the us followed this logic.

When in Rome do as the Romans do. Do not go into a nation where you know you may be killed if you offend islam.

So yes, it is the atheist fault for putting themselves at risk.

Would you walk onto a highway an expect an 18 wheeler truck to drive around you? Or better yet, stand on a set of tracks and expect a train to go around you?

Islam is not going to go around you.

Could you imagine if the us followed this logic.

We did for a very long time. Up until the 1970s it was legal to kill mormons in some states.

But our legal system is supposed to keep religion and our laws separated.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Mormonism

executive order (since called the Extermination Order) by Missouri governor Lilburn Boggs declaring "the Mormons must be treated as enemies, and must be exterminated or driven from the State." ........The Extermination Order was not formally rescinded until 1976.

I mean seriously, the reverse could be said about Christians. They're the reason why they're hunted and killed in Muslim countries because they need "to keep their mouths shut".

His logic is clearly consistently backward if he disagrees with the above.

Aye. I'm pretty sure he's just trolling. He hasn't added anything legit to this conversation. From what I understand, he's known around this forum for being a trolling butthead.

Okay, so NOW you can prove a negative.... or can't you? Which one is it, ThinClient?

It's not proving a negative. Get that out of your brain.

It's disproving a positive claim. The positive claim is that humans were created instantly in their current form. The evidence overwhelmingly dictates that man evolved from previous species, just like all other primates, whose earlier evolutions can be traced all the way back to the sea.

The evidence, which has been scrutinized repeatedly, has shown to be solid and does not support the conclusion that you cling to.

However, as most religious people do, you cling to the conclusion you want to conclude and reject all evidence that does not support it. This is an irrational and illogical decision.

On the topic of this thread, I believe people have a right to preserve their culture and their religion.

If their culture says to kill atheist, then so be it, kill em all.

It is not our place to judge another culture by our standards.

Using the argument that gays like to use, muslims killing atheist does not affect you. What they are doing is in their nation. So what is the problem?

And I'd just like to mention that Evolution was fully accepted by the scientifc community well before they had nearly as much fossil evidence as they have today.

That tells me that science have spent the last, say...170 years or so trying to prove it, and less time trying to disprove it, or in other words, forcing the evidence to fit.
