Too busy lying in defense of a baby killer, eh?

Well, I tried atheism once, looking for some substance and/or alleged reason...and all I found, and I quote, was something along the lines of:

So after being intellectually unsatisfied, I found better answers.

I expect it to be re-branded and run science and philosophy docs.

But regardless, best of luck to them entering a glutted market.

I was never "one"? Sounds like some sort of group, set of ideas, like a religion.

How can I be "one"? How do I join?

"One" indicates a member of a group, of course, you say that like it's a bad thing. Do you view your membership to your group a bad thing? I'm not sure why religious people like to say this, it really shows a blindness to their own hypocrisy. A person can be "one" of many things, get a clue and quit trolling.

You become "one" by changing. Just like anything else. Just like when my parents raised me in the church, I was "one" by change. It doesn't seem like change, when that's all your taught, but still...it's change from one state into another.

No, it doesn't. Again, this is just more evidence that you don't know the first thing about atheism, and that your claims to have been an atheist are just more lies.

One of the first steps is to quit lying on behalf of supernatural babykillers.

Given our collective understanding of your character, however, none of us expect that to happen any time soon.

So apparently you were incapable of thinking this stuff out on your own. That's sad.

Personally, I don't want to go to heaven, nor do I believe in "life after death". When we die, we simply cease to exist...there's no Hell, no Purgatory.

I DO believe there is a Heaven, though, where God is...but I don't believe everyone goes there.

Again, if we're born atheists but die believers (most of us DO), then that means we simply put on our grown up pants, and faced the world as it really is by dumping our childish default position.

This guy has been to hell. But you say you don't believe it exists. Do you think he's lying?

Rob, it is really painfully obvious that it's all man made. I'm not sure how much to expect from a god who can supposedly build the unverse in days, but can't get even a majority of humanity to believe in him, and for the minority that do, he can't get them even on the same page.

I don't understand how people can so blindly defend the story of such a blood thirsty sadist.

And source of memes.

Wonder when the atheists will realize they are just as dangerous organized into groups as any other religion if you let the fringe crazies be the leader.

I think that popular Atheists at MIT is a bit paranoid and you guys will see that if you met him in person. Like a high functioning schizophrenic. Nobody cares as much about religion in science as he makes it out to be. Though he easily tricks people who ironically know nothing about real science.

If you're looking at atheism in a very narrow sense, as merely non belief in gods, then obviously it's not exciting. If you would consider the value of truth generally, critical inquiry, questioning authority etc., then maybe you wouldn't need to use the dreaded "i" word. So mean. 🙁

However none of that is totally specific or the sole domain of atheism.

I hate the evangelical atheists, which is what all of this reminds me of.

That's the thing. As an atheist, your world is constantly imposed upon with (at least in this country) with christian religious symbolism, and other cultural chrstian customs.

Why would I want to do the same thing I dislike to others.

no such thing, look up the definition of evangelical.

the word you're looking for is zealous.

I personally couldn't care less if religious people are offended by zealous atheists. What goes around comes around.

Really? What's forced on you? Holidays? OK, go ahead and work those days for no extra holiday pay. Christians won't care, I promise.
