Hey guys. Some of you may have seen a couple of past threads (here and here) where we were discussing building a site for the gamers of the AT forums. Well, it's come to fruition, and I've got the basic stuff up and going after working on it last night and this morning.

Please remember, THIS SITE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION! It can and will change dramatically over the next couple of weeks. BUT, the registration and forums are working as we speak 🙂.

I invite everyone to register and discuss ways to improve the site over it's birthing period. This site is for everyone, and everyone has a say in what happens with it. If you want something added, tell me, and we'll look into it. If you don't like something or where it's at on the page, tell me. We'll change it if your complaint is popular.

Thanks to RossMAN for the hosting, as he's been generous enough to lend us some space and bandwidth to see where this thing can go. I plan on reimbursing him for half of his reseller account, and if anyone wants to donate, contact myself or Ross personally at atgamers@atgamers.com.

I hope everyone enjoys what will be coming over the next couple weeks, and I hope the interest is there to set up AT-only tournaments and rivalries 🙂.
 
If anyone wants to try their hand at designing an offical ATGamers.com logo, go for it. Maybe we can get a couple of entries and have a vote. Remember, we are not recognized by Anand or his staff, so you can't use the term Anandtech or their logo anywhere in the design. I'm sure it wouldn't be legal. I know some of you out there are very talented when it comes to Photoshop.

And thanks for the good words so far. My goal is atleast 100 members within one month of the official start date of the site (when everything is done).
 
I might just have to contribute to the reviews section sometime. I for one am sick of reading the extremely biased reviews of gamespy and gamespot, both of whom give outrageously high scores to nearly any hyped up game.

Please do. If we can get some reviews going, I don't mind to write a few myself. Over the next couple of days, I'll try to make the reviews section a little more prominent, as right now it's buried among a ton of links.

If you're worried about someone (i.e. me) seeing the password, I cannot view it, only change it to something new. That, and the database encrypts the password. I'm a trusting guy anyhow. 🙂
 
Bump. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I had 2 dinners, plus one today at 2pm.

I have had some interest from a member about writing articles last night, so I'll like to extend an offer to anyone. If you have an idea, let me hear it! If you want to write articles for the site, write me a sample, and we'll see if you have what it takes. If you want to do something else, let me know.
