On a side note, I had a very good night last night. Did 25-man Vault and won the chest (rolling against SIX other 'locks, and rolled 100!), which freed up the emblems I was *about* to spend on the Heroes' chest. Was 4th on the dps list (top 'lock) at about 2200 dps. Bought the gloves with them instead, so have 2/5 plagueheart garb now. I wasn't aware the different tiers would work together, but they do. Woot!

I actually bit the bullet last night and dropped a few of my video settings to help WoW be a bit more stable. Lowered the AA to 1x and dropped texture quality from High to Low (there are only two settings). I think texture quality is what really made the difference as now I won't use as much VRAM for textures for two clients. I had a tiny bit of pausing while moving around in Dalaran, but it wasn't nearly as severe as it used to be... and that was with two clients open. But I could definitely see where the game was still trying to load things up... signs appearing on buildings as I got closer and such.

Oh and my shaman is almost 77 (76.60!) so I'll finally be able to use that wonderful, wonderful epic flying mount again... well, that is when my Mage finally gets to 77 so he can use his too. I'll be able to farm Sholazar (and now Icecrown) like it's nobody's business.

As a note, if you have a bit of a fledgling 375-ish BS, it might be worthwhile to work on that before 3.0.8. Blizzard is nerfing a pattern that drops off the Venture Co Excavators in Sholazar because it's simply too good at helping you level Blacksmithing. You can learn it at 375 and it takes you all the way to 415 (as an orange recipe) for a mere 4 cobalt bars! It turns green at 420 and gray at 425. But since it's a level 77 green, it also DEs into 4 dusts or so. My blacksmith is at 416 now and I'm planning on doing the belt buckles until 425 since I have so many characters and chances are they will use them. Only problem there is trying to get the Eternal Shadow, which is the one I'm very low on.

EDIT:

Looking at some recipes, I really need to get my mage working on some transmutes... I want Eternal Life -> Eternal Shadow since I have two 70+ herbalists (one being an 80 druid), I have a metric ass ton of Eternal Life (around 40 or so right now). That's a hell of a lot better than farming the guys in the Frostmourne Cave.

Shadow is one of the cheapest eternals to get.

If you want anything it's earth to air, life to fire, or shadow to life.

Going from Life to shadow is losing money. Use the AH to transmute if you want that.

Ehh yeah I probably could, but it's simply what I can get easily. I literally have around 40 eternal life right now and the next highest is about 18 eternal water, then 10 eternal earth, 4 eternal shadow and 2 eternal fire. No tengo Eternal Air :(.

EDIT:

You know what else I have a ton of? Frost Lotus! I have around 40 of those from random herb picking.

Hahahahaha
ROFL
LOL

I don't really know how to put it. I understand the feelings of the big raiding guilds now. Our 'casual' guild finally had enough people on to try Naxx25 for the first time last night. We downed 5 bosses. Wiped on the first one once, then one-shotted the next 4. A lot of our players had never even seen the inside of Naxx10 as they were fresh level 80s.

The hardest part of Naxx 25 seems to be getting 25 people to do it. Hell, maybe we could do it with 20. It seems so much easier than 10 man to be honest with you.

BTW, just read on wow insider that the PTR has been updated to include emblem conversions.

10 Emblems of Heroism --> 1 Valor
1 Valor --> 10 Heroism

Doesn't really bother me but I'm sure it will rile someone.

Hmm, only thing I've heard is 1 valor for 1 heroism, and no option to trade heroism for valor.

Edit: WoWInsider corrected itself. It's only 1 valor for 1 heroism, and that's it.

Well, I personally don't need any valor badges anymore, and I want to buy the Heirloom items, so I would do it.

Actually it's still only:

1 Valor --> 1 Heroism.

(and 10 Heroism to 1 Valor)

Both those conversions together like that, in my opinion, are very reasonable.

If you could convert both ways with no loss, wouldn't it defeat the purpose of having two tiers of badges?

Anubis has his own personal gold farmers locked in the basement :p.

I personally don't like dealing with the AH much (I need my monies or items now), so I make my money other ways.

4 years late... but its finally here YEAH!

Now I wonder how much this will help deep destro spec dps?

I've only been 2/13/56 for two brief periods of time, but I don't see it helping that much. A deep destro lock is still going to wait until the last few seconds of immolate to conflag to get the benefit of the Fire & Brimstone. So the glyph will buy you some dps by getting that last tick from immolate that would have been consumed by the unglyphed conflag.

I can see it replacing the CoA glyph that at lot of destro locks use as the third major glyph since it will provide a small dps boost, but I don't see it dramatically changing the spec. The big problems remain - GCD clipping under backdraft and Fire & Brimstone being a horrible deep five point talent.

I was looking at some of the early beta talents, and in F&B's place was a five point talent (Eternal Flames) that gave incinerate a 100% chance to refresh immolate. Obviously you'd have to change backdraft to something other than a temp haste boost at the end of immolate (maybe haste buff on crit), but that would be a five point talent worth investing in.

They said clipping was going to be fixed and the gcd would also be effected by Backdraft in 3.0.8 or 3.1 or whenever they got around to it (or maybe it was hotfixed?). Yes I know fb was horrible, go back quite a few pages and you'll notice me bitching at its 1.5% dps increase. Your best bet is to just conflag after you cast immolate then cb/incinerate till conflag is up and just recast conflag when its up just dont cast immolate while its up and try to keep immolate up at all times.

Anubis- you should corner the market on high end herbs like I did, I just buy out all the undersellers for Icethorn and Lichbloom and sell for 100g a stack, make roughly 10-15k a day when I farm the ah.

ive played this game for far too long thats why :p

being in a guild such as mine once you get to the poing where you can clear all raid content in 1-2 days you have 5-6 days to just do whatever, simply doing dailys 7 days a week makes me this much money,

i have not had a gathering prof on my main toon since before sunwell came out and my highest lvl alt is a 64 DK

Dailys + DEing greens you get from Dailys and selling that, at one point pre wrath i unloaded over 1000 Greater Eternals in one go, did similar things with Arcane dust and Cloth

i was also the server first tailor to be able to make deathchill and i charged a mean 1000g crafting fee and made at least 10 of them for that fee before others got the pattern

Soccerman06 ive done similar things in the past with conering items but its just not worth it currently, i have no desire to drop 15k or whatever on that travlers mammoth and its not like im hurting for cash

i normally corner the Chilled meat market once or twice a week, people pay 50G a stack when the cooking daily is up that requires 12 stew

I dunno man. Something felt a lot easier last night. Having never been in there before, with people still wearing level 70 gear at 80 (and we're not talking Sunwell shit here either) we wiped once on our way to downing 5 bosses over 2.5 hours. That's nothing to write home about efficiency wise but we might as well have been in normal Utgarde Keep.

was in the cave in stormpeaks doing the dailies, hovered mouse over one of the slimes and noticed it had a drop listed in purple. I'm like HTF did I get an epic listed in my mob info screen? So I see a dead slime on the ground that was still sparkling, was having trouble looting it earlier due to lag, go back over and what'cha know, an epic L80 BOE plate tanking shoulders sitting there. At least I know i can keep my record up, averaging 1 BOE epic drop per year :(
