I was doing HH every day on each of my six 90s. I finally got tired of the ring he drops never being the one for the class I was on at the time for those that are still in just 496 timeless gear, and getting weapons on classes that can't use them, in addition to not getting the mount.

One alt got the ring on the first HH run, the second took 21 tries. It dropped 2 times before I won it, but I lost the rolls. Doh.

My ring drops have been mockingly terrible. Plate wearers keep getting int, cloth keeps getting spirit or strength. At least last night one of my plate guys finally got the helm.

Beta comes down monday.

Bunch of miscellaneous class balance hotfixes pushed, said to be for fixing @100.

Also another round of fixing dungeons/raids for post squishm

It seems they are slightly ahead of the curve this go-around, I recall these waves of class changes hitting a couple weeks after the patch. Sure, we'll have another round after as well, but the first wave didn't hit pre-xpack. The chance pre-xpack have generally been aimed at shit that's broken at current level.

Last time(s) they had a lot of problems with people still doing raid content with skill tuned for max but not at max. This time with the stat squish, they probaly avoided most of that given the substantial changes put in place from the stat revision along with some stats and abilities being removed.

Ill have one day to play after launch before I got back to work. I might just skip that day and wait until the following week to let it kind of clear out.

I've scheduled 3 weeks of medical vacation. I'll probably end up not being able to log on launch day and may not play much for a couple days after that, but should be good enough to get a couple of the 90s maxed out.

Been raiding every week on warrior since he turned 90, was using an ilvl 404 sword from questing and a 463 mace from a heroic, did not see a single two hander, ran UBRS twice today and got 2 ilvl550 maces

I think I'm done trying to get any gear, both my main guyd are sitting at ilvl521 which isn't great but not too bad either, gonna concentrate on trying to get the druid to 90 and doing the daily xmute to make my sky golem

Just got my last round of HH runs done. Ran it every day on 10 different charaters, loot as follows:

Hunter - Ring, Sword
Druid - Ring, Helm
Pally 1 - Ring, Helm, Sword
DK - Ring
War 1 - Ring
Monk - Ring x2 (Agi/Str), Sword
Shammy - Ring x2 (both caster rings), Helm
Rogue - Ring, Helm x2
War 2 - Ring
Pally 2 - Ring, Helm x2, Sword x2

Totals:
Rings - 12
Helms - 7
Swords - 5
Mounts -0

So happy that most of the toons that needed the helm or sword didn't get one. Also, I get that he's wearing a plate helm but it would be nice if it scale to other armor specs. The tech is already there with the BoAs.

If you're sick of the new anti-aliasing (CMAA) in the new renderer, people have found a way to get MSAA back.

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/12439483994?page=1

You need to run WoW in DX9 mode.
You need to install nVidia inspector.

Running in DX9 gives (slightly) lower framerates. Enabling SGSSAA gives an even lower framerate. My system (gtx680+3570K) was able to run WoW at 60 fps at almost all times. Certainly when I was soloing/questing alone in the outside world. After switching to MSAA+SGSSAA my framerate dropped to 45. I had to switch SSAO from high to low, and now I'm at 60 fps again. I like SSAO, but mostly in other games. It doesn't seem to do much in WoW. Still, it's ridiculous that a new renderer gives 1) no new eyecandy, 2) worse AA, and 3) if you switch back to old AA, your framerates drop significantly.

While crappy for getting items from the last event, at least its been good for mounts. Got horsemen last week and VOA this weekend. Went through ICC to finish the meta for the achievement one. Did it on 25, and other than not being able to do portal unless I either find a healer or wait till I get one of my offspecs to 100 so he becomes gear capable, did all the ones I needed. Only one I couldnt manage was been waiting awhile at LK. Maybe on 10 it spreads better, but I couldn't get it to spread among the npc mobs for crap. It would go from me to the big hulks then disappear, almost like the little ghouls were immune to it.

Took raiding mostly off during cata, so going to need to do a little reading before heading there, although I hear the 10 mans are pretty easy. Thinking about it now, I wonder if there are even different achieve categories for 10/25 as this was the time when they were trying to break down the 10/25 differences for QOL ease.

Not sure, but I think one of my addons may have done it. It was real noticeable on the first days, but not as much now.

I think quest objects share the same glow as I've noticed mine aren't glowing that much as they did on patch day.

It's in the default settings for the game, just look and it'll jump out at you, IIRC it was off the main menu so: settings-Something I can't recall-uncheck a box here.

I actually like it because most of the time I'm zoomed out to infinity.

Don't see any reason there wouldn't be, patch last week was to sync live with beta. Other than server side hotfixes doubt we'll see much more till after release and they start doing more changes to account for more significant player data at 100.

I just need the extra two days of a fresh raid to finish runestones on an alt.

I've been having a weird problem with my in-game mailboxes the past few days. I can't send anything with addons running, and I haven't figured out which it was.

Tried disabling Postal first, that didn't do it so I disabled all and I could finally send. The only other addons I use are Quartz (cast bar), Shadow Unit Frames (I think that's what it's called -- Xperl wasn't updated last I looked), Recount, and Grid. One of those is apparently affecting something it shouldn't be...
