62 will be more linearly better than 59 now, everything prior to MoP levels will be post squish. At that point the same expansion exponential leaps will exist.

And no flying can DIAF. If in game looked as good as in the cinematic, maybe I could go for it, but I despise taking an alt now to panda land and not being able to fly.

If they really are going with the alternate timeline story, that's weaksauce; very lazy.

Surely they could have come up with some decent backstory that fits into existing lore without requiring a massive retcon?

UK subscription monthly price going up.

6.0 will be "roughly a month" before release.

Planned release was about 6 months before actual (think game going live when they release "open alpha", yikes!)

3 weeks after for raids to start.

So many people were saying the next week or two tops. I laughed.

Not really any interest in playing but I watched the new cinematic and the animated "Lord of War" or whatever it was and they were both very, very good. The Lord of War I thought was especially impressive - less visually advanced but the art style and imagery that was used was awesome.

So where or when do they explain what happens after mop for garrash to escape and how he time travels? I have just played and haven't gone to read the lore, but where is that info and how does blizzard release it? Patch 6.0?

all explained in the last book that came out. not sure how much will be relayed in game.

Thinking of coming back maybe, but not sure it would be worth it.
May have one to two days a week that I could spend some time with the game. other times I may be able to spend a lot of time depends on work and what I need to get done at home when I get time off.
Read that if you get the expansion you could get bumped to lv 90.

Yes, every copy of WoD includes about to grant a single character advancement to level 90.

Hm I pretty much have a max level of everything but a Lock and a Priest. Which one should I boost?

Is it worth re subbing now or should I just wait til 6.0 to do it?

Might as well do it now, depending how much you play. Assuming it still works the same, level until 60, it'll boost your professions and character. 1-90 only boosts level.

If I were getting back into things I'd want a full 90+ a little gear going into the xpack.

Looks like you get gear no matter what but at 60 they'll boost your professions. I might just do that since I still don't have any toons for leatherworking/skinning and it's a pain to level.

Yeah, that's what I meant, level yourself to 60. Boost to 90 and get free professions. Look at it this way, what'll take longer: leveling 1-60 or skilling up 2 professions. Simple choice really.

I chose to boost a level 30 warlock i had been playing for the past couple of weeks, can't complain since i've been having some fun relearning the instance dynamics and doing some old raids for gear.

I do somewhat regret not leveling my 45 paladin who serves me as a disenchant whore, i could have gotten those 15 levels in a breeze by doing random dungeons as a tank and then boost to 90 for maxed out enchanting which is a pain in the ass

It's the current xpack on sale for $10, it's not an add-on DLC type content. Your post made me double check though. ;)

Haha silly me, i saw the 9.99 price and thought it was some sort of mini expac, i'm glad i bought pandaria in the winter sale, haven't had much fun in wow in a long time

My game is crashing. Goes to a black screen, with like a monitor turn off and freezes. Gotta restart when it happens. Any idea? Running the latest nVidia driver.

The reason I quit years ago was because i played a Druid as a restro ( first mistake )
then the guild I was in never really raided, so when I tried to raid i was kicked out before it started do to my gear.
After about 3 weeks of working on the getting to lv 80 being kicked from all the raids i quit.
Our guild tried to raid several times but was never successful do to the tanks and the healers not having the right gear.

What may me interested was the deal wear they would let you take a toon from lv 1 to lv 90 if you wanted and have decent gear from what I read.

But still debating on it do to what time i may have to play the game.

12 hr swing shift makes not much time for extra things at times with overtime and working when others are off.

But I cant grip I am glad to have a job.

I received an offer to get Pandaria for free on my second account if I reactivated it. I probably would take it if I'm still playing, but even my primary account (that does have Pandaland) has been inactive for more than a year.

LFR has changed that a lot. No, you're not going to get the best gear in the universe, but you'll be able to do the same stuff that the uber raiders do, just on easy mode and on your schedule.

I quit just before Ahn'Qhiraj opened back in the day because I tired of the 40 man raid schedule. Came back about a year ago to play with my daughter, and we've been having a blast just working our way through LFRs, improving gear where possible, and facerolling old raids for cool mounts and transmog sets.

Frankly, the game is better than ever for casual players, IMO.

I'm not sure what the gear that comes with a boosted 90, I imagine it's started level raid gear. However, you don't seem to understand the tiers to gear (maybe I'm wrong).

Generally, in order to do a tier of content you need the gear from a previous tier. To confuse this a bit there are sub levels within a tier.

Having full epics doesn't mean you can roll into the latest raid level (which is two tiers above the first tier this xpack).

For any given xpack the tiers flow like this:
Questing
Scenarios/5-mans
Entry tier raiding (sub levels of LFR/flex/normal/heroic)
Next tier raiding (sub levels of LFR/flex/normal/heroic)
etc.

You can jump around a little but in general you can't skip tiers without being carried by the rest of the group.

Gearing up now to raid the end tier is a tall order, you could do it with a lot of dedication and help in about 3 weeks minimum.

Raiding doesn't require tons of time, I only play ~8 hours a week but still raid (only log in to raid).

I think no flying will really rekindle what I loved about vanilla. The sense of exploration, distance, and actually knowing a map and the way from A to B, is the key to immersion for me. I'm not nostalgic about the rest of vanilla (I'm not one of them) but this is something I had hoped for but never dared to believe they would try again. I hope they skip flying altogether from now TBH.

The green boost gear is 483, enough to run Throne of Thunder LFR and get 502 gear. Or you can do Timeless Isle for 496 gear.

Once you're geared up there, you can do Siege LFR.

Only being able to loot raid bosses once per week does slow things, but if a person did want to grind on the Isle a bit, they could gear up quickly.

Get a lucky Burden drop off rare, grind Shaohao rep and get a Burden for the quest line and killing Archierus, and spend some coin on the timeless weapons, and a person would be pretty well set to jump into SoO LFR after a few weeks.

That would suck. Once you're max level and you've seen everything, why do you want to have to run through everything all the time?

I'm OK with the way Pandaria did it, flying at max level.
