Been doing a lot of pet battle stuff, only 6 pets left for world safari, the damn scourged whelpling, baby ape, silithid hatchling, minfernal, quiraji summer spawn and barrens giraffe calf.

Got 400 unique, 1000 battles, 30 level 25, 30 level 10 (up to 50/75 level 10) bunch of other stuff, fun time killer that you can walk away from as you please.
 
I've been doing heroics this past week for my VP cap instead of LFR. Terrace is the only place with an upgrade for me, and it's just a small one (476-->483 boots). Anyway, I'm past the point where the LFD tanks don't know what to do with me.

I understand heroics are for gearing fresh 90s, and I probably have no business doing them at ilvl 488, but come on. Tanks need to learn how to use their buttons, and dps need to learn how to mash their face on the keyboard. Two runs in a row on Saturday, groups looked like this:

Warrior tank
Priest healer
Me (frost mage)
Rogue
Hunter

Two runs in a row, I had more than 50% total damage done. The first one, our tank was decent and I finished at 104k dps for the instance, because I could, you know, actually dps.

The second one, our tank was not only poorly geared (though no worse than the first one), but he was also horrible and I had to sit and wait 15 seconds for him to tab-target-devastate everything -- only finished that one at 70k. I peeled a boss off him mid-fight after an alter time combo. That shouldn't happen, no matter how fresh your gear is.

TLDR: Why are people in LFD so bad?

It's like you're admitting your wife is bad without explicitly saying it, after you said this earlier:

I'm on a PvP server and the number of level 90 Horde out in random places is amazing. Top of some nameless mountain in Northrend? Level 90 Horde. Middle of a river between Duskwood and Westfall? Level 90 Horde. I've never played a Horde, so I don't know why this happens, but I have to admire their ability to work as a group.

I don't understand a lot of what the Horde are doing on my server, but then again, I'm a sporadic player. I buy an expansion, level a couple of characters to max, do a few battlegrounds, and drop the game until the next expansion. Maybe they get bored and like to grief low level characters.

Sounds like it's probably due to CRZ. Almost every zone has cross-realm zones active, so you see horde players from other servers too. Populates a lot more of the lower level zones. Active everywhere except I think Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and the Pandaria continent.

Its called crossrealm. They group a few dozen servers together and squish them all in the old zones. Even capital cities like TB, Dalaran, ETC are grouped together now.
 
Didn't think I would cap conquest this week b/c my DK wasn't on, but I found a pug DK and we grinded through 20 games and got our 10 wins. I should have my 3 pvp pieces upgraded to 491 tomorrow. I'm glad I decided against buying the 496 belt in favor of buying the conquest belt instead. Saves me a bunch of valor that's scarce.

What to do with any more conquest I acquire? I have no clue. I could either get a ring next or start getting actual pvp pieces next. At this point, I'm starting to worry about not having anything to spend valor upgrades on. I have a 496 chest/gloves/wrists to upgrade, but I only really want to upgrade the chest and maybe the hands. If Sha of Anger drops my tier pants, I def want to upgrade that. The normal version of the Tier helm/shoulders seems a LONG way away. I'll have to wait and see I guess. If I don't receive my tier pants from sha, I'm going to upgrade my tier hands 4ilvls and wait another week.
 
got 3 rare spawn battle pets in 2 hours today.

Got the giraffe calf while flying around barrens bored as hell, saw a flagged horde and chased them, when i attacked they took off and i followed and killed them, turns out they were going after a giraffe calf that had spawned, so i snagged it 🙂

Then went to tanaris to check for a dust storm and there it was, tons of hatchlings around, got a rare.

Went to park at the minfernal spot and someone said scourged whelplings were spawning so i logged over to my alt parked there and actually saw one.

Now just 3 pets left for the world safari, baby ape, minfernal and quiraji guardling.

Also finished the 75 pets to level 10 last night, was getting 1000xp per batle with level 3 to 7 pets that I used.

crazy luck today, just got a minfernal, now only baby ape and summer spawn

Even crazier luck, just got the baby ape, so lucky to get all these rare spawns in one day.

cities are grouped now? will have to look cause I don't recall seeing any out of towners in mine.
 
finally got the trinket off the Sha of Fear today... means I'm done with Terrace and no longer need to go back to MSV for Elegon. :thumbsup:

all that's left for me in LFR are 2 drops out of Heart of Fear. I wish you could collect offspec gear easily in LFR. I'd keep running them if I could get resto/enhance gear, but I don't feel like respec'ing.

Congrats! Can't believe you're almost done. Good luck with those last 2 drops. I think its still worth it to go to terrace for a chance at offspec tokens.

Grats! I still can't find a single scourged whelpling. Was circling the argent tournament area for 8 hours and couldn't even find a grey one -_-.
 
I have a serious question here about the Horde. This has happened to me for as long as I can remember. I'm doing my quests, leaving everyone alone. A similar level Horde attacks me and I kill them. They get mad, get their high level alt, and proceed to grief me for the next 30 minutes because they suck at PvP yet feel the need to initiate it.

Is there some kind of a playbook you guys are following out there? 😛

I've never been ganked by the Alliance! Unfortunately my guild is pretty much dead. Everyone moved on. We all sign up for a month or two then cancel. It's what connects us as a group. 😉
 
Happened to me all the time when I was leveling my Warrior. I would just log over to another character. Go back in an hour or so it's the price you pay for a PvP realm.
