At what point do you think a fetus becomes conscious?

For a serious answer, I would have to say you would have to take a good, scientific look at initial brain development.

On the other hand, I can imagine Moonbeam's answer: "Are any of us ever really conscious? What, exactly, is consciousness, anyway?"

Somewhere between ages 18 and 22, whenever they stop living on their parents money and have to make a living on their own. Until then, they're just wasting oxygen.
