I'm pretty sure he knows that. What he probably meant is, he's not sure who's donating what, but he'll help out if someone needs something.

If making money was behind this, dartworth wouldn't have started this. He's done every single one of the users a BIG favor by running this service, it came out of his pocket and wasn't cheap at all. If making money on this was the goal, none of us would even talk about getting involved.

I laugh at people who host websites for free in hopes of making money.

I've never used the service (I don't have anything interesting to put on a website 😉 ) but you guys rock. Kudos to you folks for offering this service to the community.

For people who have their own domain, what nameservers did you use? I just put the 2 name servers I got in the original email onto my domain @ namecheap, but it's not working. What am I doing wrong or what else do I need to do? I emailed dartworth...but no response. 🙁 Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
 
i ask politely that you email people right before you start the new hosting..so we can prepare for the move..i will definitly jump on it and donate again if needed.

I have major projects going on and it just runs GREAT on AT hosting....i had another host where the mysql db is on another machine and drupal was slow like molasses. I am planning my SEO site to put on AT hosting. Testing around now. Please leave it as good as it is now...especially w/ myswl on the same host 😉
 
does this new development, mean by current site at theeternal.org is no longer in danger of dying in August? I remember an email from dartworth, stating the servers would be cut out due to funding issues.
