does this new development, mean by current site at theeternal.org is no longer in danger of dying in August? I remember an email from dartworth, stating the servers would be cut out due to funding issues.

I think the new hosting will have new DNS and such, so you will have to re-register

old host is down today..now for some hours already....i am freaking...BAAAAD ;(

i have an article on ezine for promotion...this article *just* got accepted.."you will be featured on our high traffic page later..."...i am freaking here since the host is down....literally..

I'm thinking/hoping that they offer baseline service for free, with premium hosting for a nominal fee. Who knows, maybe everything will be free.

Cool. Been using DeviousTrap's free service for like 2 years now.

🙂. I'll be merging my accounts with the accounts that dartworth has once we have everything figured out.

im really curious to see if the new free service will allow people to use their old free subdomains (from the old free service)? i actually wouldnt even mind paying for hosting so long as i can use my old free subdomain (*.adaptfree.com). i have my site spread around and it would be a pain to have to switch to a new address.

How do I update my nameservers to the new addresses if I only have a subdomain.

I believe that's only for people that own domains. Since you use the subdomains, I don't think you have to do anything. Just a guess 🙂

dw, will write email..but please keep us updated on stats..i know its down right now, some permission problems.
Hope everything goes well with the move.

As of July 1, 2007 all accounts have been transferred to the new ATOT Hosting server. This new service is provided by the following members:

AgaBoogaBoo
DeviousTrap
dartworth
RossMAN

The IP for the new server is 72.249.16.11 Please make a note of this IP.
Also, if you have not updated your nameservers, please do this ASAP. The new nameservers are:

ns1.atothosting.com
ns2.atothosting.com

We have started a support forum for account users. It can be found here: http://atothosting.com/ The forum is just starting and look for more content to be added soon. Please visit the atothosting forums whenever possible and say hello. We encourage users to use this for support and any questions they may have about the service and webhosting in general. We not only want to provide a quality service, but also help educate each other about webhosting and various other web topics.

In order to provide a fair and quality service, we have also decided to adjust the quotas for the accounts. All accounts will have 300MB of storage and 3GB of bandwidth. If you have any questions about this, please visit the forum.

Thanks for your patience and support.

Sent you an email Dartworth...should I send questions to someone else now? I haven't been paying attention to what's going on 😛

I don't really know what nameservers are or how I would update
them 😛

Also, someone was asking me "what server-side language
and database does your hosting use?" and I didn't know
how to reply.

about 50 need to be restored to the new server still...I thought we were all done😱

So if your site isn't up right now, that is why.

Sorry for the delay

Domain Nameservers translate a URL (ie www.google.com) to an IP address (ie 64.233.187.99). Without them, you'd need to remember the IP to get to a website. You'll update them with your domain registrar.

I'd assume whoever was asking you about language/db support was looking for an answer like PHP/MySQL. This is what Adapthost supported and I assume will be the case with the new hosting.
