I have already committed to buy his and, despite what people here may think of me, I am a man of my word - always (which can be a real disadvantage for a lawyer, BTW).

I gotta say these FedEx guys got their timing and shit down, almost identical timestamps to the phone I received last friday.
 
Anyone have any idea what the availability is like in AT&Ts stores at the moment? I'll be going for the upgrade in about two weeks.
 
I was on the long waiting list until the weekend when I wandering into a local Apple store and asked if they had any AT&T 4s in stock. They had 2. Called up AT&T to cancel my order, reset my upgradability and I walked out of the store with my new phone. I'd recommend trying this out. Supposedly they get shipments in everyday and never know what to expect.
 
The 4S is awesome, but mainly because it is 100x faster than my old 3G and the new camera rocks.
Siri is cool too though and actually works really well, unlike old voice activated programs.
 
I can go to the Apple site and order two unlocked phones and get all the way to the shipping address where I can only put a Canadian province as the state. Are unlocked phones still not available? Would be nice if the website said that before the last step of the order process.
 
They're only available in Canada right now. For US, they're coming sometime in November.

There are reports on Howard Forums that buying a full price phone from the Apple Store will get you an unlocked one as well.

The reserve at Apple store is how I got mine. I just watched it for 2-3 nights until one became available (32gb is what came up when I was looking for 16gb). But when I got to the store they said they had extra 16gb's come in, so I got one.

So I basically "ordered" one night and got it 12hrs later or so.
 
People are still having trouble getting one? The AT&T store on the ground level of our office building has had them since launch. Coworker just walked in last week and bought one for his sister.

coworker tried to get one at VZW yesterday and they were all out, only had iPhone4 available.
