Pitcher plants and sundews, Alligator River, North Carolina. The sundews are a different species than the ones in the prior post.

Bladderworts, Nags Head Woods, Outer Banks, North Carolina. The bladderworts are another carnivorous plant. The clear bladders are underwater and initially deflated. When a bug touches a trigger hair, the bladders inflate, sucking in the bug. The plant then digests the trapped bug. The bladders in the photo triggered when we picked the plant up for the photo. The plants float so no harm was done to the plant to get the photo. We just put it back where it came from.

I've googled around, 6x9 might be somewhat equivalent to 75 to 100MP. There's a lot of detail in the negatives, once I get setup will be "scanning" with my A7rII and a macro.

Looks like you have Drosera intermedia there along with different pitcher plants, Sarracenia rubra vs. Sarracenia flava and Drosera capillaris from the last post.

Is this area easily accessible? I haven't gotten down the the Wilmington Area yet, only Croatan.

The photo shows D. intermedia with S. flava. The Sarracenias are dying back for the year and often have bright "fall colors". We did not see any other Sarracenia species. The Carolina Beach locality has D. capillaris. I'll send a PM for location.

Thanks! I've only gone in May since everything looks pretty pristine at that point. I'm only 6 hours away from Wilmington as apposed to 8 now!
