Been rescanning old negatives. Not too bad. Home scan on the left vs. what I got from the lab on the right. 😀

Cool shot of Fifi (B-29 Superfortress) doing a bank at low altitude yesterday at the Wings Over Dallas airshow...the camera definitely made it look closer than she actually was....When I took this pic, there was the B-29, a B-17, a B-24, two B-25', two P-51's, an F6F Hellcat, a P-39 Aircobra and FG-1 Corsair (since this was made by Goodyear and not Chance Vaught, it was not an F4U) all flying at the same time for the show finale. The F6F and FG1 are in the upper left corner...

personal opinion is it might a bit too warm but that is definitely subjective....still very cool though...
Yeah, it might still be a little warm but it's way better than the lab scan. This was daylight balanced film shot indoors, so white balance was way off. Too much fun though. Next step is developing.

She turned to ask me a question as I was shooting her profile from the side.

(Not sure if I've mentioned this before, but if you all are using Lightroom, consider trying out Capture One. Everything's a lot faster. Faster to load, faster to see your shots, faster to import, faster to edit overall although at first, it'll be confusing and weird.)

Surprised

Was the question, "WTF do you think you're doing?" 😛

TLDR: YES, I thought it was gonna be exactly that. 😀

I was taking pictures the entire day out with the kids to document the trip and so I was trying to get train car as there were no people in there at the moment. Next thing I know, several people brush past me, so I put the camera down and wait for everyone to be seated and I go back to shooting. She looked interesting with her big glasses, so I snap that exactly frame as she's turning to ask, "Excuse me, sir?! Is this train going to the mall?" A part of me thought, oh god, she's gonna ask me what am I shooting and why, but I've had several confrontations and there's no way it's gonna be as bad as the previous (with one guy getting all up in my face), hahahah.

Anyway, I didn't know myself and explained that to her and she got off in search of the right train. I soon found out that it was not the train back home so I got my kids up and left to the opposite side, looked for her to let her know and my daughter said she saw her walking down the road -- presumably to the mall (it's maybe 5-10 mins walking).

Wow man, the GFX50R? Did you rent it or you own this thing?
I bought it. Found a good price used and sold some things I haven't used that frequently to offset the cost (A7rII, Batis 85).

It's kind of a nice in between from shooting film and the A7III. You have to slow down but not as much with film, but snail's pace compared to A7III. Haven't done any portraits yet with it though. And no native glass yet. 😀
