Some glitch art. :D Took a photo from a recent shoot, added some echoes, inverts, and a 5 minute clip of Chopin's Raindrop Prelude using Audacity. :D

Legislature building in Edmonton silhouetted against a beautiful evening sky:

Not ideal to shoot birds at night obviously, but I still enjoyed this one:

A friend of mine got a voucher for his bday to a place that lets you drive exotic sports cars on their track for a few laps... He chose a McLaren and a Huracan...DSC03172.jpg

Brett Michaels did a local Dallas show for the 4th July...no restrictions on cameras so I had the 150-600 lens to catch the F-16 flyover

The F-16's came from the west at 8PM with the sun directly behind them so the lighting pretty much sucked..

Endangered Pima Pineapple Cactus, Tucson, Arizona
ppcactus_2019_07_20a.jpg

These cactus all bloom together on a single day each year and today was the day. We've been watching the buds for a few days so we knew it was coming. This particular patch has a special place in my heart. It is the highest density of the cactus I've ever found. The area has been undergoing urban sprawl at a ridiculous rate, destroying the habitat for the cactus. About fifteen years ago I was driving past the cactus patch and a developer was blading nearby. One of the workers was carrying a pineapple cactus by the roots back to his truck. I called Fish and Wildlife Service as soon as I got home. Within a week, there was an exclosure fence built around the cactus patch, about a half acre in size. It wasn't much compared to the thousands of acres that have been bladed but the half acre is still protected and the cactus still thrive there.
