it is a dedicated spot setup by the airport...they even have picnic tables and telescopes for public use...

A few from my recent trip through California. The light was pretty rough most of this trip due to the time I was able to shoot in the day. Several took time to edit because of merging HDR frames in order to actually capture stuff in the available light. I am fairly happy with how they came out despite that.

This is somewhere between Reading and Allentown Pennsylvania. I took a random exit and just flat out got lost on purpose making various turns to see what kind of interesting things I could find. Got a tons of other ones saved.

Yeah, the specimen came from the Horn Silver Mine in Utah. The stuff is pretty cool. It fluoresces under UV and phosphoresces for a long time after the light is turned off. It is also triboluminescent which means that if you scratch it with a fingernail, it sparks. And the sparks generate a bit of UV so it fluoresces and phosphoresces from being scratched.

Yeah man, the 85mm f1.8 makes it easier to get that pop. Also very nice for low light:
