Just got back from a week in Zihuatanejo. Got a bunch of raw files to develop, but I knocked this one out real quick just to have something for the old Facebook wall...

Nice, looks like there's some dust on your lens or sensor :D

Took this a while ago, and I did not make those :p.

Wow! Admittedly, I kinda blew thru the editing, but how did I not see those? They aren't exactly subtle. Anyway, it isn't particularly surprising given how dry and sandy it was there, but still I'm kinda stupefied I didn't notice those spots before.

Ahh I know what it is. My stupid display needs a good cleaning, and I just supposed those were screen spots, not part of the image.

So some jackass Saturday morning hit a power pole on a side street just off of I-5, bringing down a bundle of power lines that stretched across the freeway from edge to edge. This closed all traffic in both directions for about 3 hours. I was headed north and wound up about 10 cars back from where the lines were down. Here's some pics I took:

Just for fun, bee in flight, playing with the CV 35/1.2, this was at 1.4. These guys are pretty slow moving, so reasonable keeper rate. Didn't have any other lenses on me.

looks like that's a hover/flower fly. The antennae are straight, and the eyes are large and round. The stopping and hovering is pretty characteristic of them also, hence the name :).

Noticed a rainbow forming so took a few quick pics. It was still raining so did not want to go in the rain with my camera, one was taken from inside the house. Played a bit with saturation etc just to make it come out more.
