We have a pretty nasty inversion over Boise right now. I decided to take a small drive up to Bogus Basin outside of Boise to get out of the nastiness. I was rewarded with one of the prettiest views I've seen for a while. I spose you can say I went walking on clouds this evening...

Compose, then carefully screw on the filter. Get pissed if I screw up a 10 or 15 minute exposure due to laziness.

This was one that I screwed up. 10 minute exposure (with long exposure NR on, 20 minutes to find out I f-ed up), for some reason I spaced on taking time to compose and then it was drastically underexposed. The picture I posted a few back is a crop of this one.

this one shot at ISO 800 at f/5.6 and 1/50 exposure time

This one at ISO 100, f/7.1 and 1/50

and this one also at ISO 800, f/5.6 and 1/50. all were shot with macro extension kit attached of course.

On subject of bugs, here's an earwig I managed to find. It's very dead, and the legs broke off when I picked it up. Rare to find a bug at this time of year, found it dead in the basement.

this one is the sun life building in downtown montreal shot at ISO-1600, 1/6 sec exposure time, f/3.5. can't wait to try at ISO-100 once i get a tripod!
