Vegas Christmas decorations were pretty amazing!

The colors are very vivid, that christmas ornament tree thing looks amazing.

Calcite, 15 sec exposure under shortwave UV light with ~8 sec exposure longwave UV light. Black balls are manganese oxide. Any blue tint is sensor artifact.

Bornite (peacock ore, Cu5FeS4) in quartz and calcite with sheelite (CaWO4). Sheelite glows white under UV light. 4 sec exposure under shortwave UV light with about one second exposure of halogen table lamp.

I was initially thinking 11x17 or somewhere around there, but finding frames in that size that won't break the bank is a pain in the ass. So I'm settling for 11x14 (I think). I'm probably going to stop at Adorama myself sometime this week to get a better idea of frame sizes and just pick some up before ordering some prints from them.

I had them print another photo of mine that I framed and gave to my brother and his wife for Christmas. Was very satisfied with their printing and shipping.

The framing on these is decent and it's a nice catch, but the bokeh on is nervous and jumpy. What lens is this? How much cropping?
