Merged two images last night for this shot.

Shot 1 had a slower shutter speed so I could get the clouds in the sky
Shot 2 had faster shutter speed/smaller aperture to get the moon details.
nice shot!

i was thinking about doing a street photo in the center of my town, but that required me to be there at 330am. i decided sleep was the better option :p but i did pop my head out to see the moon at least!

This guy is hanging out in my front yard...View attachment 102169

Nice shot. There's a mated pair that visits a strawberry guava tree in my yard every once in a blue moon, but I could never get the timing, lighting nor the posing I was looking for because they'd stay for a minute or two and by the time I'd set up for a shot is just about the time they decide to leave. Lucky you to be at the right place, time and set up to take such a great pic.

Had no idea something like that existed!

Regarding the mated pair, I guess you consider an iPhone Pro as too expensive a solution for good shots?

I looked through my files and this is about the best example I could find as far as what we call a strawberry guava tree looks like. For scale, the bird is about three inches long.White-Eyes-WEB-600.jpg

Thought this had a bit of a liminal space vibe and turned out cool. Took early morning after a night shift.

I did do some minor editing though. Removed a single car that was in shot and adjusted colours a bit just to add to the liminal space vibe.
