Yeah this looks much better.
Yeah this looks much better.
I took pictures of everything. I walked the entire town. I've been to all 254 counties in Texas. This is probably a place I'll never visit in my lifetime, but I wish I could have a walk around with my camera. Here are a couple of places I spotted on Google Maps:

It's like this all over. Economies change. Decline in family farms. The politicians don't want to tax to clean it up. This is a county seat. There are actual worse places in Texas. Wild. Why do these look like ghost towns???
I guess it's so hot outside that no one bothers unless absolutely necessary.
so is that ginormous hydrant filled with water or milk?Beaumont, Texas
Thought this had a bit of a liminal space vibe and turned out cool. Took early morning after a night shift.
I did do some minor editing though. Removed a single car that was in shot and adjusted colours a bit just to add to the liminal space vibe.

We're in his canyon every day so he doesn't get too stressed by our presence. One day he sat on a rock across the canyon and groomed while he watched us. Plus he's a big boy and could kick our asses.Nice clean shots Ironwing. But how did you ever not spook that (bobcat? ocelot?) into running away?
C'mon. It's just a bobcat. He may not be afraid, per se, but he wants nothing to do with humans. We're in his canyon every day so he doesn't get too stressed by our presence. One day he sat on a rock across the canyon and groomed while he watched us. Plus he's a big boy and could kick our asses.
Edit: this is the cat in action:

Curious question: how does the predator/prey math work? Predator can't and probably doesn't need to hunt every day. So if it kills a prey and eats most of it, it can survive on that meal for at least 4 to 5 days without worrying about hunger and just lazing around? And if the need to hunt is earlier than that, then what's the predator/prey ratio? Has to be something like 10 prey per each predator and with regular prey reproduction cycles to replenish the prey population to avoid extinction.
You going to tickle its toe pads?C'mon. It's just a bobcat. He may not be afraid, per se, but he wants nothing to do with humans.
Why yes. Yes I do!You going to tickle its toe pads?
