I think this is a bad analogy. Your bug was discover able from the day you created it. In 2010 when this guy was granted a visa it is very possible there was nothing available to indicate he could go down this path. Something could have happened later that changed the path of this man's life and this is where it ended (I'm not saying he isn't solely to blame for his actions). Humans are much more complex than code and events can and do change the choices we make.

Until more comes out about the actual background of the guy its really hard to say either way.

INS does not exist anymore. It hasn't since Department of Homeland Security was born.

And they honestly scrutinize legal marriage visas more than lottery visas.

Was going to observe that Guantanamo is hardly consistent with the constitution, but of course you can probably get round that because this suspect isn't a US citizen.
Of course, if it turns out the Constitution frustrates Trump's kneejerk, I expect all his fans will suddenly find fault with that precious document.,

Personally i don't get, and never will get, American veneration for that bit of paper. It was drawn up by flawed humans, not superheroes. For starters it only means what the Supreme court says it means, so in the end it all comes down to controlling that body.

Very bad IMO. It was a crime committed on US soil. Try the man in the US Federal court and be done with it. Our legal system can handle it. I've always disagreed with the notion that we needed to create a separate legal framework to address terrorists we captured overseas and house them outside the US. But sending this man to Gitmo would just be wrong, that is far beyond what Gitmo was created to deal with.

But I'm sure it plays well with the base because extra judicial detention is cool and all. You know the same fuckers who shit bricks over Jade Helm and FEMA camps.
