which is why I didn't start my thread til after I saw one.

Last week I started getting a light rash and itching... pretty much everywhere. Scheduled a doc appointment and scoured my local environment for anything that could be causing an allergic reaction, came up with zilch. (Never been allergic to anything before.)

So I went to the doc today. Apparently the rash doesn't look like a typical allergic reaction rash, and full body itching can be a sign of impending liver failure. They're running liver and kidney function tests today, results expected tomorrow. If it's not that then they'll send me to a dermatologist. In the meantime they gave me an rx for a stronger, non-drowsy version of benadryl.

A few years ago I was on a med that can cause liver problems, but I went off it deliberately and onto a different one so that I wouldn't have to worry about crossing it with alcohol (wine is a hobby). I thought I was done with worrying about my liver. 🙁

Crap, if I was near the 707, wine would be a hobby for me too!

707 is my once and desired area code. 425 is my current and work-related area code. 🙂

So apparently I'm not going to die of liver failure. :wine: Bad news is I still have no idea what's making me itch. I'm afraid that I've triggered my already-overactive immune system (I have rheumatoid arthritis) to react against my skin. If that's the case, this could be fleeting or chronic.

Seriously hoping it's not chronic; a permanent case of poison oak seems like a fate worse than death right now...

East of Lake Washington? That's where I grew up. Back then the whole state was 206. Still pisses me off that they changed it. Progress - meh!!!
