Will this mean images will be allowed and there will be posts that are ads? Well we had a great run Cheetah avatar.

Images can be disabled, and the ad posts can only be there if an admin allows them. I'd imagine they'd carry over as much of the style as possible, probably the avatars as well.

According to big-boards.com, the largest SMF forum has 1/4 the number of posts as AT, while the largest vBulletin forum has 6x the number of posts as AT.

Everyone tells me to hate FT, but I guess I've become complacent after all these years with my hatred.

FINALLY!

I would have been happy if they just fixed the problems with fusetalk though.

Add Images damn it! We have enough mods here to keep it in line. It's incredibly annoying and tedious to click on every flippen picture link. Especially when people post pics from a vacation or wedding or something. Yeah they may just post a link to the folder but then they have a milliion pictures you have to sift through. Better when they could pick the best and embed them here.

Custom Avatars! Everyone else on the flippen internet does it and has no problem.

I'm glad AT is moving to more robust software, but it's sad that we'll lose the clean look of these forums. One thing I love about this place is that there aren't 10,000 different annoying flashing avatars, 5 million images per page, and ugly colors.

I'll miss the clean visuals too, but if the mods do a good job they can make VB look pretty good.

I am wondering why people don't like fusetalk vs others. I don't really prefer one package over another, but I am thinking many are bashing fusetalk because AT doesn't allow custom avatars, inline images and animated sigs.

I don't think these are going to be offered in the future just because the software allows them.

I don't care about any of that. As long as the damn search system gets fixed, I'm good.

What do the Mods have to do with how it looks?

Don't they set the color scheme and other options, such as allowing embedded images? If I'm wrong, then I change "mods" to "whoever sets up the forum". :p

We don't like it because the search doesn't work, PMs are borked and all the "WE have let the webmaster know..." erors.
Plus the Mod and Admin tools are lacking.
