I still miss the old stuff we used to make directly at the Dairy Farm, Blue Bell was surprising closer to it than I thought it would be first time I tried it, at least taste wise.

Even if what I put up there isn't Blue Bell.

Unless the farmer is making it himself, it still goes from farm to factory, then to a distribution center, then shipped to a retailer, then to your table.

.
I make my ice cream from milk I personally squeeze from my own cows.

warning: do not eat if you do not like caramel, maybe do not eat even if you do like caramel, because it is likely to ruin most all other caramel deserts for you

And since dairy alone is not enough to give everyone the craps, they use laxative sweeteners (like maltitol) to make everything glide through.

Kroger Private Selection Cherry Amaretto.

Cherry or this brand has never been a first choice among all other ice creams for me but there is something REALLY addictive and amazing about this flavor. We've referred many others to it and many have agreed.

I'm a fan of Blue Bunny. Often on sale, they have lots coupons, bigger package and better taste/texture than the other "near premium" ice creams like Friendly's, Edys/Dreyers and Turkey Hill. And lightyears ahead of crap like Breyers. Doesn't measure up to the super-premiums like Talenti and Haagen Dazs, but it's also about 1/5th the price.

Talk about ice cream. Seriously.... any body here ever wanted ice cream to taste like it did when you were a kid. Mayfield, go buy "Mayfield" in whatever kind you like, some badass ice cream.

Breyers. LMFAO if you like freezer burnt taste

super wally had it for $3.

2things:
1) it feel lighter than regular ice cream when I picked it up
2) and its not ice cream. it's frozen dairy dessert

it's ok. don't know why OP is having an orgasm over it.

its not as sweet as ones made w/sugar.

I would buy again if my local supermarket started carrying it, and if its on sale for $2 like it does from time to time.

I'm not a ice cream snob by any means, but I've literally never had good Breyer's ice cream.

is this even actual ice cream, or is it "frozen iced dessert" or whatever?

Mocha ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough and oreos. This stuff is cheap and legit.

Costco sells ice cream that's actually made from cream -- what a crazy idea, right? It only has 5-6 ingredients total (cream is the first ingredient), and is FANTASTIC. It does only come in a vanilla flavor, and is super thick. It's the Kirkland Signature brand, around here (MN) it's ~$9-10 for two of the half-gallon containers.

Breyer's has sucked forever. I remember when it first came out it was marketed as a premium product. Back then we didn't have any real premium ice cream to compare to. Over time as good products became available Breyers didn't compare well, and today its grainy, icy texture and cheap ingredients are fit maybe for making quick shakes with, and that's about it.

I picked up a pint of Ben & Jerry's Core Salted Caramel to try it. Real ice cream with real sugar and real caramel. VERY good stuff.

And as a BTW, the best time to eat ice cream is right when you've come home from the supermarket so it's a little melty and gooey. Yum.
