the server sucks, to be honest. only 3 maps cycle and the shots don't seem to register part of the time, even though it's 100 tick. most of the people on the server had a ping of over an average of about 85 when i was on.

Then don't play there, it's as simple as that.

oh, no worries. i won't. i was just informing people of what's up. didn't mean to personally offend you.

Please let me know what you ping on the following servers

8.2.0.103 - Texas
8.6.74.101 - Missouri
63.211.110.152 - Georgia
63.215.74.27 - California

For me Texas and California are both reasonable. So I think if a lot of members say they are willing to play on either of those server locations, I'll have the server moved there.

there's a missouri server? what company are you getting your server through? i'm interested.

He changed the name of the server, to something like 24/7 office, so make sure you're looking for that. Mine is actually messed up in that I can only access my favorites through steam, I can't just start CS:S and click on find server and have it show up in favorites. No idea why that is.

1. 24/7 of any map is absolutely silly. Even if you stick to regular maps, anything other than just office would be great. There is no sense of competition without a round limit. Just a bunch of idiots trying to pad stats with the awp.

2. You need to waive the ban stick more often. Make an example out of a few people. It will going a long way in reducing the noise.

Good server though, Qosis, thanks. I was getting 60-80ms pings with my mediocre cable connection in Ohio.

1) I will consider that. However, earlier today people were regularly leaving when the map changed. I think the best way to get a good base of users is to have a 24/7 map for at least a while.

2) I didn't see where it was necessary. If you see it being necessary please let me know and I'll do mybest.

I think I just took care of it. Please let me know if it happens again.

I prefer map changes and voting for the next map works well.

Note to everyone who was just on. SOrry for the random shutdown, I had to reboot the server but had no way of telling you guys that.

The statsme plugin is now working !:)

The server had a 175ms ping limit when I was on last night. So, yea.

too bad...

Anandtech members who will break the ping limit can PM me their steam ID and I will add them to the high ping kick immunity list.

I played a bit earlier today. A few things i noticed..

-office gets annoying after an hour or two.. how about adding a few more maps, eh?
-make the bots use something besides shotguns, and make them camp less (is this possible in source?)... it seems that I have to move more carefully than normal to not fall into a "shotgun trap"
-for that matter, why not get rid of the bots? i dont like 'em :(

and why are you idling in there all the time? why does your name have [HEAD ADMIN] in it? if anything, you want people to behave the same around you and not know you are an admin , not make it blatantly obvious.

besides that, it seems like a good server to play on. Low ping for me, but I am in Kennewick, WA - my internet connection goes through Seattle before it goes anywhere else.

even though i love office (im a TMP whore) its not a great 24/7 map unless you get a large user base who just plays and plays on it.

if you placed it in TX it would prolly give me better pings...

I think he just has that title for now so you know who to address if you have questions in game. He asks for feedback occasionally while people are playing, he really is trying to make everyone happy. I agree with map rotation or at least a map vote system. Your concern that people leave when the map changes wasn't because I didn't like the maps, map change is simply one way I get myself to stop playing (if I have other things to do), regardless of what map its on...

I'm hoping over time we can get a good base of playears who come there consistently.

Now, I want to hold a vote (I can't do a poll for it)

Do people want to see zero bots? If that's the case, then the AT members will need to logo n during low trimes in order to keep the server going.

It's up to you guys. If you say no bots, the bots are gone.
