AT COD4 game night (360)

I actually joined a clan for older gamers (25+ is "old" :laugh: ), and we have an intraclan tournament tonight. It starts at 8, so I figure it won't go too late. I should be able to play tonight if anyone is playing.

Is anything going on tonight? Is there a way to assure that ATOT members are always on the same team vs strangers? Like 6v6 Team Deathmatch?

I think if you all start in the same party before you join a match it keeps you together. Also if you all have the same clan tag.

If we are in the same party we stay together. There is 6vs6 and 9vs9.

6vs6 you can choose from any gametype, if you play 9vs9 you only have the option of playing ground war which is either team deathmatch or domination (it's random.)

I'm going to try to be there tonight guys but at this point I'm not sure if I can make it or at least be on that late.

What is a "party"? I don't see that option anywhere in COD4 MP

When you are in the menu where you can hit "find match" you are in a party (you are alone at first, but it still says you are in a party). You can invite friends into your party or you can be invited into someone else's party. Then when the person who started the party selects a gametype and starts the search, everyone in the party follows him and stays on the same team. You can have up to 9 people in a party.

haha, no, actually I got off by 4:00pm because we had no one around who could reboot the server so only half of the work got done 😛

I may not be able to play now because my wife is demanding to watch american idol.. bah!

Well I got off at 10, so you must have came on after that. I was spamming everyone on the Anandtech 360 list with invites but no one accepted.

We only played 1 game, then I backed out to look for a different match and you guys all left. 🙁 I think we did alright in that match (although I did a lot worse than I normally do), I just didn't care for the other guys' style of play.

Well the other 3 of us actually played another round together. It was weird, the 3 of us were still in the game and I noticed you weren't... then after that game it disbanded our party. Shrug

Would it be easier if we just made an [AT] clan? I was online last night (gamertag = Corellias) and didn't get any invites. At least if we have the same clan tag, we could always look for other [AT] members.
