Anyone know how Live/COD4 is running today?

If we can get it working tonight, we can try to play. Who's up for it?
 
I'm not available tonight, but I would like to get into a game where I can learn instead of just getting peppered from people who know the game completely.

What time were you thinking? I'm interested, but I won't be on until 7:30 or 8:00 PST.

Well I was thinking about starting no later than 9:00 pm EST. You guys can always continue on later than that, but I personally can't stay up too late because I have to get up early for work.

I'll be playing if live works, but I just checked the support page and it's now sayign they are having problems with all kinds of stuff, including COD4. So I'll probably wait a bit.

sounds good man. I didn't see you leave our game yesterday. I stepped away from the TV for a moment and when I came back you had left. I'm guessing you left because we were having a problem getting into a game..

 
So how does it work when you guys have these ATCG CoD 4 nights? Is it like Halo 3 where you can set up a custom game and limit the game to just people on your friends list? Or do you guys just join a party and play with whomever it matches you with?

And I've never been involved in a clan, but if anyone is interested in an ATCG clan I'd be interested as well. 🙂 So far I've been playing mostly team deathmatch, because it's tough to work together with a group of strangers. The objective type games I've played have gone poorly because everyone does their own thing. Skill-wise I'm not too bad. My current k/d ratio is about 1.14 I think. Better than in Halo 3 🙂 (where I'm at ~.97 and need to go about +200 to get to 1 🙁)
 
Well we haven't had an ATCG COD4 night yet due to XBL problems, so this will be the first 😛

We can do whatever you guys want. I thought we'd just make a party and play against random players so people can still rank up. We can get up to 9 players in 1 party. If we get more than 9, or if you guys prefer it, we can play private matches.

Private matches can be limited to invite only I believe, or it can be set so anyone can join. You can't match up against random people, same as halo 3. It's pretty customizeable, but not nearly as much as Halo 3.

yeah definitely prefer playing with you guys but a new friend + me made it 8 players and ground war was so laggy. So I didn't want to leave a new guy I added to my friend's list. Probably play with you guys for a bit if my 360 is working. If we get a large party does anyone have a really good connection that can host because 9 on each side makes it laggy.

I'll also probably pull up the AT 360 friends of friends list and invite anyone that has COD4 loaded up. So anyone who is on that list, just start COD4 and you'll get an invite 🙂

I'm not sure how good my connection is for hosting. We may not get 6+ people anyways. If anyone knows they have a good connect just say so and you can host 🙂 I'll probably have to get off around 10:00-10:30 to go to bed.
 
We can try my connection for hosting if you want. I have no idea about latency, but I have good bandwidth.
