Looks like we're out of luck. It's only listing 66000 players online, meaning Xbox live has shit itself yet again.
 
roger that. Give your 360 30-35 seconds and it may resume.

the 360 looks like it's locked but IMHO, it's waiting on something. There's always halo.
 
yep my 360 has been locked up for about a minute or so...for the 10th time in the last 45 minutes.

This is just as bad as the first day these problems started. We may be out of luck tonight guys, at least if you want me to organize it. I have to get to bed in about 20-30 minutes.
 
I actually managed to get into a game, then it froze and kicked me... I don't get it. It's almost as if the game itself is bugged.

Yeah well that figures... about the time I got off. So basically anyone who can't stay up after 10:30-11:00pm at night won' get to play at all until they fix it.
 
I'll try to get in next week...I'm moving this week and won't have my FIOS installed until Friday, so that means no Halo games with you guys as well 🙁

You won't get much Halo love in this thread 😛 😉 But get everything set up quickly so you also won't be able to play on XBL.

We'll be trying this again next Tuesday if MS can get their shit together.

 
I forgot early on and was playing Forza 2 with my new wheel. Couldn't get a race going in Forza either. COD4 did work okay when I got on at 10:45est or so.

My gamertag is Arby08, most of you probably already accepted me. Maybe next week will be better.
 
Well around 5:45 pm EST it started back up again. So i guess any of you thinking of playing tonight wait until after 10:30pm EST. Seems one of their regularly scheduled "burps" in the system... but don't worry everything is working fine.
 
Like clockwork... it didn't work when I got home from work, but after 9:00 it's fine. At least I know I'll be able to play at some point each night, as frustrating as this is. Strange though, I'd expect after 9:00 p.m. to be their peak usage time.

Well, it stopped working around 5:30 and started working around 9:00. I'm hoping this is a sign that MS is making progress. Hoping..

 
It's almost comical. It's the year 2008... I can't remember servers for an online service ever being so unreliable. It's not like it's fucking rocket science.
 
hallelujah finally played an entire evening with no problems whatsoever! now hopefully they've fixed it for good...

It' isn't that simple. In many ways it is worse than rocket science - you can use forces that are universal for rocket science in very predictable manners.

You can't do the same for networks.
 
Any of you guys playing tonight? We might actually be able to accomplish this for the first time in 3 weeks!
 
I"m going to try to play tonight, but I may not be able to host/organize it. I'm stuck here at work later than usual today, and I'll hit much more traffic going home.

Screw that. Just say you have plans, because technically you do. Just say you have to host your weekly professional development event. They'll understand that you're building your soft skills to enhance your relationship building paradigm and nurturing your business network garden.

haha, I'd love to do that. Unfortunately, there is a tech here who flew in from Colorado to fix a drive. He doesn't know how to show up any earlier than 2:00-2:30 pm (the time that everyone leaves!)

I usually can avoid it and get my co-worker to stay, but not this time. Instead of 1 1/2 hours to drive home, it'll probably take me 2-2 1/2 hours now.
