although during the snow storm i tried one of those "tasty" breakfast things, which was to take 2 slices of bread, cut out a circle in the middle of each slice, put it on the skillet with an egg in the middle, and grill both sides of the bread with the egg inside. then put cheese + bacon in the middle of it and make a grilled cheese sandwich out of it. i didn't have bacon but used lunch meat instead, and it was very fucking good.

I've tried the V for Vedetta "Eggy in the Basket" I think it is called a few times. Well has several names.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_in_the_basket

Doing one with an Eggo waffle or something does sound interesting, now that I wiki'd the thing.

Not bad at all, took me a couple tries to get it the way I liked it.

Takes a little practice, but it isn't too hard once you get a bit of a hang for it.

Well if the first meal of the day can be called breakfast... I had slices of pork with a tiny amount of mustered topped with mozzarella, roasted red bell pepper and shallots.

I'm all about savory breakfasts. Especially since I typically run in the morning and I'm coming back after having burned 600-1500 calories. So it's like open season.

Bust out the cast iron skillet. Toss in some sausage patties and/or bacon. Cook 'em up. Then leave the grease in there and toss in a pile of hashbrowns. Get them good and crispy and on a plate and then toss in some scrambled eggs for a few minutes at the end. Butter & jelly some toast and a nice big cup of french pressed coffee......YUUUUUUM.

I've got a 10 mile run tomorrow. Breakfast will be had afterwards!

I love very similar breakfasts. Except, it takes quite a while for the hash browns to get crispy enough - I actually just dice up potatoes into little 1cm cubes instead of shredding the potatoes or whatever others do for hash browns. So, when the potatoes are good and crispy and hot, I break the bacon into smaller pieces and mix it in. Then I dump the scrambled eggs right into the skillet (no milk added to the scrambled eggs), and stir it up a couple times, and take a handful of shredded cheddar and quickly mix it in to just get it started melting.

Split a berry tart and some bacon/cheese/scallion pull-apart bread from a local French place with the lady.

Not about to take pics of my food like some tosser but during work week it's protein shake with a scoop of grape nuts to keep me fuller longer and weekends it's the typical eggs n seasoned hashbrowns with toast.

No sugar in the coffee, makes the banana extra sweet.

When i have done some sports the evening before, i add in 2 cups of whey protein shake. And when i am at work, i switch the black coffee sometimes with a cappuccino without sugar.

I sometimes use two skillets at once and do the bacon and hash browns in the cast iron at 1/2 heat on the stove here.

Is a bit slow to get the hash browns done the way they should be without letting things cool off and letting em get cold.

I use one of the ceramic pans a lot of times for the eggs on another burner at around 1/3 heat.

Three *Spams, two eggs, cheese, black pepper, and Adobo. Of course, I also had coffee and tobacco. May have yogurt later.

*It's actually fancy imported spam from Denmark :^D It's Aldi brand, and they changed their supplier. I'm pretty sure it was Hormel previously, but now it comes from Daneland.

I haven't had spam in decades. I may have to do this breakfast sometime.

Just had my 2PM breakfast.

A beautiful salad of mixed red and green leaf lettuces, tomato, cucumber, onion, celery, carrot, bell pepper, radish, pickled shoestring beets, chickpeas and feta cheese. Topped with a nice extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinaigrette.

Plus a hard-boiled egg.
