I was given a P4 1.7 processor and I want to buy a board that will allow me to upgrade the processor to a P4 2.8 or 3.2 in 6 or 8 months.
Money is very tight right now and that is why I am using the old 1.7, but it is better than a PIII processor.
I like intel products, and I like the 865PE chipset, which is why I picked this board. The only other motherboards that I know of that support "Wilamette" and "Northwood" processors is Gigabyte.
Using 512 of Crucial 3200 memory and the board listed above, I can keep my cost under
$180.00 if I use parts form my other PC's.
Please let me know your experiences with the P4P800 SE motherboard.
Thanks for your help
